mkey82
You need to look at BUS speed Bus speed (FSB) x Multiplier = CPU speed Also FSB x Memory multiplier = Memory Speed So, if you increase FSB you will raise CPU Speed and memory speed at the same time. What CPU do you have?

anus
Haha lol. Even Maxishine couldn't get FPS that high. He got max 25FPS on maxed settings . Anyway, come on Thales, try and beat his bench. I'd love to see some competition between these monster rigs . If I had your hardware, I'd be pulling my hair out trying to beat the bench . EXTACY
StatisticsAverage FPS: 12.90 <<< Sure, but when it rains, or when I am being chased by the cops, it plunges to slideshow levels, about 3 fps. Duration: 37.28 sec CPU Usage: 89% System memory usage: 84% Video memory usage: 100% <<< A worry since I have -availablevidmem 1.0 in the commandline file, which -- correct me if I'm wrong -- adds another 500MB of system memory to my GPU's 500MB. So, to play this game I need, what, 1.5 or 2.0 GB of GPU memory? Or is 1.0 a ratio, like saying 100% of GPU memory shall be allocated to the GPU?? Graphics Settings Video Mode: 1280 x 720 (60 Hz) <<< forced in the commandline, as, au naturelle, it had me playing at 800x600. Let it be noted, the lack of AA is MUCH MORE noticeable at lower resolutions. Texture Quality: Medium Render Quality: Very High Reflection Resolution: High Water Quality: Very High Shadow Quality: Very High View Distance: 10 Detail Distance: 100 <<< MANDATORY, and it looks soooooo cool getting stuck in traffic! Definition: Off VSync: Off <<< What does this even do? Hardware Microsoft Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3 Video Adapter: NVIDIA GeForce Go 7900 GTX Video Driver version: 180.84 Audio Adapter: SigmaTel Audio Genuine Intel® CPU T2600 @ 2.16GHz -availablevidmem is the multiplier of your actual card's detected VRAM. So say it detects 512 then using -availablevidmem 2.0 will make it think you have 1024 of VRAM. For best results dont go silly with it as your card will feel the pain, I prefer to stay under 1.5 or lower. There is also the -percentvidmem that actually deals with the percentage of vidmem the game is allowed to use for the card, not a commonly used commandline at all. You can, however force PEG frequency to run at higher clock, rather than default 100mhz... This will get you nice 10-20% performance boost in fps when you add -availablevidmem multiplier. I had mine clocked @ 120MHz
