DeeperRed
Hi, I thought this thread would be helpful to alot of people and a cool place to show off your FPS instead of loads of other threads. So heres how its formated System Specs Benchmark Setings FPS ----- P.s. I know the game is not yet relased so mods might want to lock this thread till it is
Mandatory
You seem to be a little early. It would be easier if you just closed the thread and re posted it once the game is released.
Devils Dog
How do I get the benchmark settings, is that in the game or something
jelly
Yes. There's a benchmark thingy in the game If you don't mind I'll close this one until release date and bump it back up then so it doesn't get a pagefull of irrelevant posts in it. texan1985
I have an 8600gt as well so thank you for posting that benchmark. It's funny though, because that card is the reccomended card for this game, but doesnt even come close to high settings or even 30 fps. really goes to show you how well they tested this... thing. Devils Dog
No problems I just read someone with a 8800GTX 768MB card was getting 21 FPS in this post: http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=378582 I hope R* bring out a patch or Nvidia does something with the drivers to make it better Also in that post, the person emailed R* and they say 20FPS is playable Edited December 2, 2008 by Devils Dog
texan1985
wow playable my butt. I play competetion type gaming, and if i were to have 20fps in a match i wouldn't register at all. I can understand 20 fps in single player but, How are we suppose to enjoy multiplayer with that kind of fps... (btw i just want the pc version for the multiplayer) I have a request devil dog, could you put it at 800x600 resolution and do the test and possibly post a screen of how it looks? Xenon2
If the 8800GTX really got 21.86 FPS, and the 8600GT got similar results but is a much slower card, is it possible that there is some sort of frame limiter installed (like in the previous GTAs) and can be turned off somewhere? Just a thought.

I personaly have a Quad core Q6600 3 gigs of ram and 2x 8800gt's OC'ed and I get a quite consistant 83fps. Plus I dont think the game even supports SLI at the moment so thats from running just 1 card.
