Stefan.
I'll perhaps add one picture a day, in order not to overload anyone. Enjoy, and provide any tips if necessary; I've only just started getting into photography. Picture Number 1 That was taken back in June, down at Wilson's Promontory, about 300 kilometres south-east of Melbourne, and also the southern-most point on the Australian mainland. It's lovely down there, and it's a picture of the sunset obviously. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/378387-stefans-photo-gallery/ Share on other sites
Guybrush Threepwood
It's easier to browse if you resize them to say, 800x600 and just post it in img-tags. You can always put 'want the full version? PM ME!' underneath it Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/378387-stefans-photo-gallery/#findComment-1058692128 Share on other sites
Mister Pink
Nice photo, man. Well done. I just saw a similar kind of photo in a tutrorial. If your interested in photoshop and retouching photos you could check it out here I'm not saying it need's work but I just spent the last hour rumaging for a site with half-decent tutorials and I dad this page open when I saw you photo. The photos reminded me of one another. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/378387-stefans-photo-gallery/#findComment-1058694470 Share on other sites
Picolini
Yep, be good to resize it to about 800px wide and just post it with some img tags. The biggest restriction in regards to photography is you're using a point and shoot (Canon A420, right?) which doesn't allow for as much control over the settings as an SLR camera does. They also don't offer as good quality photos due to lower quality lenses and sensors. But, they're still pretty capable. The picture isn't bad, but is rather ordinary. It has a lot of potential but doesn't particularly "pop" if you know what I meant. Post processing could help, as TPFS was suggesting. I use Adobe Lightroom mainly, and I think it helps a lot. Although, most of the time I over do things This biggest things about your picture that I find hurt it are: Poor lighting (probably due to high contrast areas caused by the bright sun in the back), drowns out the color and definition of the foreground and hilly background Dull clouds, not enough contrast between them, they look like they have potential to look epic. Here's what I did with it, hope you don't mind. Of course, I may have over done it like I always do... but that's what I like. Got a bit noisy... Although, most of the time I over do things I use an A470, and while it's definitely not a professional camera by any means (it's orange, for christ sake), they can shoot pretty pictures. It's just that you have to accept the limitations of such a device and understand that it is capable of nice pictures; not everything has to be photograph of the year material. Lightroom is a nice tool, especially for organizing photos and adding some slight stuff to it. Though Lightroom is slightly... expensive Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/378387-stefans-photo-gallery/#findComment-1058695545 Share on other sites
Picolini
Yep, Lightroom costs an arm and a leg... I would imagine. I did say point and shoots are capable though, I'm not completely discrediting them as photography tools. Guybrush Threepwood
Yep, Lightroom costs an arm and a leg... I would imagine. I'm not saying I didn't go that route. All I'm saying is, if you have no choice but to buy it, it costs a doggone fortune for what you get in return. I did say point and shoots are capable though, I'm not completely discrediting them as photography tools. The biggest thing is simply knowing what to expect from them. Besides, I personally love pictures that aren't stylized, just take a picture of whatever you like, and be damned if the sun wasn't exactly in the fourth quarter of the sixth solar return of Aquaman and the Four Horsemen. It'll still look good, despite the lack of Horsemen Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/378387-stefans-photo-gallery/#findComment-1058700132 Share on other sites
Cursed
The camera I have to use for photography is getting old now. It's about 4MP and in dark conditions it doesn't focus well, and in dark areas it's so noisey. It really is terrible. As for programs, almost everything Adobe is overpriced, especially photoshop. It's an amazing tool, but I wouldn't pay that much money for it (Not that I'm implying I didn't buy it...) Stefan.
It was taken on Sunday in the town of Mirboo North, about 250 kilometres south-east of Melbourne. What do you all think? Mainland Marauder
Cool stuff, Stefan. Lots of cool shots to be taken in Australia. Quite interesting, to me anyway. Stefan.
Here's something that was taken back in August while on a school excursion in Sydney, Australia, on a cruise ship just west of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, on the north shore. Not the best one, in my opinion. Might take some on a walk in my neighbourhood later today. Mainland Marauder
I know it's sort of an optical illusion, like the curvature you might see in a panoramic photo, but it almost looks like the tower back there is leaning. Stefan.
Taken in late August while in Sydney. It was taken while we had a miny break, stopping by the side of the road in one of Sydeny's more affluent suburbs, on our way to Bondi Beach. Stefan.
Massive motherf*cking bump. Took it on Tuesday in my great-uncle's backyard on the other side of Melbourne, a.k.a. the Ghetto lol. The Guru
Massive motherf*cking bump. True but the picture made it worth it. The picture has great quality and especially angle and contrast. At first thought I thought it was a arrow flying into the tree but then I remember my neighbours backyard where they have that drying thing that spins around. Great picture.
