I htink they are referring to the old ones released in '06, not the ones released in Dec '07..like mine. the 8800gts is an old card.. Oh wait! So he did play with the old 8800GT? I hope so because after I read this review I was like "sh*t. That sucks, now I can't play it even with 1280x1024 and high settings" but when I saw what you told about 8800GT. I have the new 8800GT with G92 core so I really hope that it runs better with it. I'm pretty sure he played on an 8800GTS, because I don't think they make 640MB 8800GT's. Is my PNY G92 Nvidia GeForce 8800 GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 better than 8800GTS ? Download GPU-Z to get all the facts of your video card. I can overclock my 8800 GTX to 630/1500/1000 and my GPU-Z results are Texture Fillrate: 42.3 Gtexels, Bandwith: 96.0 GB/s. So download RivaTuner and start tweaking your GPU's! "In five years' time, the PC version will be the definitive visual incarnation of Liberty City - playing with a draw-distance set around to 20 and traffic-density way low makes the prospect of those hitting the 100 exciting." does that mean that this is how he ran the game?! cuz that IS an indication of some sort... and not a positive one. Zeta Posted December 1, 2008 Share Posted December 1, 2008 + the guy who wrote the review god knows what state his PC is in, I bet he didnt even Defrag his Harddrive after installing the game which is a must, You must resist playing and defrag always gives u a performance boost + having a dedicated partition for gaming is a added boost running your OS in Performance mode added boost! so many tweaks you can do. But yea Defrag your HD is a must! before playing. Alucard155 I used a Program called Snagit to take the PIC you could download the trail would love to see yours side by side so I can compare easier than looking at the specs on a website.
