aidan87
I'm really scared of this: Crossfire game side bugs:Interior and Night time shadows blink until approached. When transitioning from interior to exterior the screen will pulse with different intensities of light for a few seconds. On occasion the water will jitter rapidly. Will my HD 4870X2 have any problems?

Watinho
I got a question - isn't Bully for PC on the same engine that GTA IV PC??
ParoXum
I got a question - isn't Bully for PC on the same engine that GTA IV PC?? Not really. It's on an older Renderware based engine. With tons of wrong effects badly coded. The game wasnt even tested on most sites because it was untestable for 90% of the market's PC specs. CharmingCharlie
No one seems to have mentioned the actual case yet. I think it looks pretty sexy . I was just expecting a bog standard dvd case, but it looks like we are getting a sleeve cover for it which makes it a lil bit nicer.

ParoXum
Yeah I guess you were. Since you're french : http://www.jeuxvideo.fr/test-bully-buggue-...ctu-177620.html The worst point here is Rockstar never patched this until now. It's been a month already. The 360, Wii, and PC versions of Bully don't use Renderware, they use GameBryo. The bug you see in that picture is caused by computers with more than 2GB of memory. To fix it, you have to limit your memory in msconfig. Edited November 29, 2008 by gamerzworld

DOUDOU
I don't know if it improves the performance of the game much, I would have thought it actually makes it a bit worse indeed, windowed mode decrease the performance

So luckilly, there will be no requirement for "Deep Hacks" to enable us to get the extra stuff (like Windowed Mode - I also like windowed mode, because I can monitor my CPU usage while my games are windowed... and since it will use all 4 of my cores, that would make it more usefull!!) Cant wait to see some of this stuff in the PC version!

CharmingCharlie
Guys, what if i have ATI Radeon HD 3870?It will have problem or it's just on the 3870X2? I imagine the single 3870 will be okay, it sounds to me as if the issue is purely X2 cards. This is nothing new developers have always struggled to make their games bug free when it comes to X2 cards or crossfire/sli systems.

Jackmackg
-windowed: Force windowed mode Thank GOD for that, I was really worrying there wouldn't be a windowed mode. I like to play games on my PC sometimes with the ability to see what is going on elsewhere ie irc that kind of thing. So I was hoping against hope that GTA 4 would support windowed mode. did you just upgrade from ms dos? its called windows for a reason. so that your applications can run in them. you'll always have windows mode. even if the program try to force its self into windows mode there always a program or a way to set it back. now don't get made at me. its just hearing some one's happy about a program running in windows mode on a os called windows really gets to me. Rockstar's site? http://rockstargames.com/IV/#?page=pc Another f*cking moron... So for recommended it's 18GB and for normals its 16GB right?....... The game itself (disc) is possibly just a dual-layer DVD; There is something called "compression". Look for it and you'll understand how the disc itself problably just say 8.30GB (more or less). A second disc with about 2GB might not be strange but think before posting.
jesushumper
I don't know why so amny are getting their panties in a knot from teh bugs list. EVERY game has a list at least that large, and as long as you meet teh requirements there's very very little chance of anyone having one of those problems. I read those bug llsts all the time and even when i DO have the right OS/hardware/drivers listed i still never got ANY bugs listed.. it's like the side-effects from medications. THey all have many, but the chances of YOU showing signifigant signs of any are fairly weak. Using authenication, i assume no one woudl be able to play it until the release day for whatever region they're in. The more i read about the activation/save/MP methods i see, the more i hate them... i'm starting to think i may not buy it at all, so as not to encourage that sh*t in the future. It's as if the EA Games deal went through adn no-one told anybody. This is the kind of sh*t EA would put in. And once again, it'll be beaten within days.
