Roy Mayo
Hi, Hi, I am new here. Please excuse if I have the wrong forum. I have the greatest difficulty in controlling the direction of cars etc. In fact I cannot control them at all. They zig zag all over the place and crash into everything. Usually the car or motor cycle I am supposed to be following goes very fast, but there is no way I can keep up with it. I have zig zagged and crashed into something. This makes the game practically unplayable. Because the only way I can move is on foot. Please give me some pointers as how I can control a vehicle to go smoothly in the direction I want it to. Many thanks Roy Mayo.
Girish
You haven't explained your problem clearly. Are you experiencing faster gameplay? What are your system specifications?
OverTheBelow
You haven't explained your problem clearly. Are you experiencing faster gameplay? What are your system specifications? I think he just wants some advice on driving using the keyboard. I use an xbox controller, so it's easy as pie for me.

That is not how a normal game behaves with or without a keyboard.
freighter014
yeah i play the pc version of gta san andreas, but i'm not sure if the handling is any different than the xbox. anyways, until you get a lot of car skill, use the breaks whenever you do a turn and drive slow even on highways. i hope i didn't state the obvious there. also, use the hand brake (space bar) for u-turns and other tight turns to avoid spinning. [SM]CJZera
Uncheck Drive and Fly with mouse in the Settings unless you like them, they can be annoying, also, try to learn wich cars handle better, because there are some cars like the clover that just don't drive good. You have to get used to different car tipes, like not flooring a Sabre before a jump (let go the acceleration before doing it) Also, you should put your controls in a way you like them, for example, I drive with arrow keys and use w-a-s-d for plane controls up-left-down-right respectively. But you gotta have in mind that driving in GTA isn't easy, you need practice so you can go at full speed in a trafic jam without stopping like in Youtube Vids. You have to practisce with bikes, bicicles, cars and planes before the game makes your handling better and you get used to it. Also: Which are the vehicles you are having problems with and how are the problems exactly?
lil weasel
Get a USB GamePad with at least 12 buttons. (simular to the PS2 contoller.) Then it is much easier to play. Using the keyboard and mouse? Just tap the directiion keys don't hold them. Let the vehicle 'fly' by itself making only the corredtions needed to keep it on the road.
