gta 4 gamer Posted November 28, 2008 Share Posted November 28, 2008 (edited) Im back and playing MP So I want to try bomb da base me and my friends get the truck and get to the chopper. When we reach where we have to put the bombs in. It says "loading" and gets me back to my latest single player save. That happened twice. Is this normal? I tried deleting the game off my hard drive and reinstalling and re-downloading the patches... still occurs. Does anyone not have this bug... it has only occured to me since the trophy update. FiliGTAFan Posted December 2, 2008 Share Posted December 2, 2008 I was about to make a thread myself. It's happened to me four times already. How am I supposed to get the trophy? I heard somewhere that it happens in a game if one person leaves or one person joins while the game is in progress. So you have to do it without anyone else interfering. I'm not sure if this is a fix for this but I will post what I just observed-- I've had this glitch since the trophy patch. I was lucky if I wasn't getting dropped from the session 1 out of 10 times-- as I reached the ship-- landing on it or not. I had not started a new game yet to get the gameplay trophies-- I just did and did the first two missions then happened to go into multiplayer from the "new" save. I was able to do BDB II two times landing on the ship both times and was not dropped. I don't know if this is a fix (with only 2 runs) but figured I'd post it anyway as I haven't had 2 sessions in a row since before the patch-- sorry if anyone has made this connection before-- if so, I haven't read it. I hope I'm not getting anyones hopes up. I did not have time to do any more then the 2 runs-- so I think it is premature to call this a fix yet-- Can anyone that has the glitch do some multiple runs and confirm or refute this. Thanks... Playing the game with only custom slots for players (stops random people joining) and only playing with properly configured players should do the trick. This however, is only a trick to stray away from the glitch, and a patch should be in order to properly fix this. Along with the rest of the ps3 multiplayer problems (complete trophy condition within one gaming session in order to get it etc) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I do agree the game does need another patch-- I can handle the one gaming session aspect of it, but this BDB thing is very frustrating (since I had no problem before the trophy patch) My record since starting the new game is 3 successes and 3 drops now-- I have had it with 4 players in game-- so don't think it could be from someone "joining"-- I would like to read more if you can link me to that board or better yet the thread.
