zmoonchild
where the STEAM versions made moddable? because i don't feel like waiting for newegg to ship it on friday. The Steam version is identical to a non-steam version. Just select : "Do not update automatically. ". I think theres a legal NOCD with steam or steam acts like a CD. Version 3 from Steam Games and Direct3Drive is not identical to Version 2 or Version 1, that's a false statement. Version 3 and Version 2 saved-games are interchangeable, but the coding is still different. I know some SAMP players were using steam. Then provide proof, otherwise your statement is false... it's not possible to mod Version 3, that's a fact.

I was wrong about the physics engine but my statement remains, it will be hard to code for RAGE. Anyway, I saw people that took their steam games (Wich is the exact same as a retail (In steamapps/common/gta sanandreas) and copied a 1.0 crack on their v2 and they were able to inject with SAMP just as normal. )
Dhatz
What you mean, I doubt the community will do much cars. Euphoria involved, I don't think it'll be as easy as SA. Euphoria has absolutely nothing to do with the cars. Euphoria only works to help animate humanoid entities. Wrong, car deformation with crashes on the car's frame is controlled by the euphoria engine. It's also called "Compression". I don't know where you read that but from what I can see Euphoria only deals with animating 3D characters motions, they mention specifically that Euphoria is not a Physics engine which is what I consider a damage system like the one in GTA IV. It may be Digital Molecular Matter that does the damage, a system developed by Pixelux but again its not mentioned on the game box or anywhere in the credits so I am sure you will find its something built into RAGE perhaps. RAGE is the one responsible with the Car chassis and body deformation. Remember the demo about the clothing on people scrunching and folding in Rockstar Presents: Table Tennis? it's the same physics architecture. It rolls along with Euphoria. RAGE computes the inanimate object, global physics, orthodox computations and others, and Euphoria computes ragdoll and human behaviour events. vyrious games have animated clothes, the problem is it's likely to be pre-animated than computed realtime(from what i've seen the sleeves cloth doesn't seem to have any inertia). one or other, cloth animation doesn't apply on IV

But still, R* Presents: Table Tennis shows the feature RAGE is using to compute car physics.
zmoonchild
Anyway, I saw people that took their steam games (Wich is the exact same as a retail (In steamapps/common/gta sanandreas)... Sorry, but the Steam Games version of San Andreas is Version 3, not Version 2... they are not identical. ...and copied a 1.0 crack on their v2 and they were able to inject with SAMP just as normal. ) Yes, it is possible downgrade Version 2 so that it can be modded, and used for SA-MP... but no one has been able to figure out how to mod Version 3 (which is the Steam version that you keep referring to). Version 3 (from Steam Games) cannot be used for SA-MP... sorry.
