thatsoccerguy
I took that two days ago at a gas station 5 minutes from where I live. It took me less than $30 to fill up my tank. How low is it getting for all of you?
fuckindumass
hmm, there's already a topic on this, but w/e, the cheap sh*t was 1.779 last night in WI. But nevermind that, the real news is that the gas station half a block away is now carrying BEER! I paid 5.89USD plus tax for 12 chilled cans. What are you paying for a 12'r? It takes me about $15 to fill my tank, that hasn't happened since I bought my car.
Jonny_Tightlips
Just to clarify, this decrease in prices is NOT a sign of the economy getting back on track, but because they just drilled way too much, correct? ...besides that I ain't sayin nuthin. nlitement
You Americans have always had cheaper gas. What's that? $1.56 for a gallon? Or $0.41 a liter? Or hey, 0.32 EUROS for what's well over FOUR TIMES CHEAPER than we have it here at the moment. Next time you guys see a rise in gas prices, kindly shut up until it goes at least 5 times your current prices.

!!GC!!
shame it is going to go up in a couple months Gay. Why? Over here it is at $1.38 a litre. Not bad, not bad at all. It has decreased 80 cents in 4 months. Stupid economy.
Titanfan
I honestly think they were just ripping us the f*ck off. Because when all these massive bank collapses happened and people started to panic they dropped the price of gas back to were it should be, atleast in the U.S. it did. And I do not believe folks are driving less or demand has fallen. People still have to drive to work and drive to buy groceries. It is all just a bunch of crap. Stefan.
Havn't been to the petrol station in a while, but have heard about the lowering prices. I think it has to do with the fact that so many people (in Australia, at least) were sending a big f*ck you to the oil companies by stealing gas and buying less. Since the demand lowered, I guess the price lowered. Thing is, as demand increases (which it will, considering that everyone is now jumping for joy) they'll go back up. Probably, anyway. DEMAND LOWERED? Using what theory? The theory that everybody just shut off their cars and started using their bicycles? Unfortunately not. Under your crackpot theory, everyone is reverting back to their vehicles and chaining up their bicycles. I don't think so. Australians stealing gas, that gives me a chuckle. Once a criminal, always a criminal. Well, at least not here in the United States our "demand" hasn't lowered, considering we drive the most (with some people having hour long commutes one way), and some gas isn't going to stop anyone here from driving because in about 90% of the country you're f*cked without a car. That's what Slamman has TWO, so he can make sure to be somewhere in a car, and if he's not there in that car, he's somewhere else in another. Like I said, I wasn't sure about the situation in the US, I was just saying what it is in Australia. Here, everyone's starting to use public transport and, as you said, bikes as opposed to the car. And isn't it just simple economics in that as demand lowers, so do prices? I only started studying Economics two weeks ago, give me a f*cking break. Mad Tony
Just to clarify, this decrease in prices is NOT a sign of the economy getting back on track, but because they just drilled way too much, correct? No, it's because the world's economies are doing badly therefore worldwide oil demand is falling which means there's a bigger gap between supply and demand. Of course if OPEC cuts production (which they probably will) then gas will go up again.

For one, there's a lag in price declines between the oil company and what you pay at the pump. Two, stealing gas? You're stealing gas from the PUMP? No wonder the brits threw you cocksuckers on that island. You're hurting a local business that way. Do you really think Shell would reimburse stolen gas? Get real. Stefan, even though I think desmo is a retarded crackbaby, he's right; your crackpot theory doesn't fly.
Stefan.
So the supply and demand sh*t doesn't fit in? Two, stealing gas? You're stealing gas from the PUMP? No wonder the brits threw you cocksuckers on that island. You're hurting a local business that way. Do you really think Shell would reimburse stolen gas? Get real. It's a very small minority though, and I don't condone it or anything, I think it's f*cking stupid because, like you said, I doubt the oil companies are going to want to give us oil if we keep on stealing it. GTA3Freak-2001
Its cheaper in Australia right now(or rather it was as they said it would go up again) because of the world oil price and the stabilizing Australian dollar I thought.

Slamman
Already, however, Oil producers are planning a cut back on production to deal with the declining price, however, part of that is demand...regardless, I got almost a full 15 gallons here in the USA for $20 dollars, it was a nice feeling, gotta say! Of course if OPEC cuts production (which they probably will) then gas will go up again. Agreed. Yet, the changes in supply and demand have usually had this kind of power yet the mortgages all over the US seems to be folding over the titles of a homes quickly as they can, behind the scenes as if nobody would notice and the job lay offs are still continuing to happen more severely than usual. Maybe, the lower gas prices will be enough assistance to the average consumer that they can afford to look at options they have yet to consider. I have seen several land owners trumping down the size of land they own to assure survival. A few have had to fold on the mortgage
Swarz
When I first bought my motor it cost me £70 to fill-up. Now it's down to about £55. Considering it drinks petrol, I've got no complaints at my end. Especially since my income is unaffected by the economy. Nemesi
There's plenty of oil and gas underneath the earth. They don't want to use it, or study how to use get it from new places. There'll never be a supply/demand. Anyway, from 1.45€/l, now it's ca. 1.1€/l here.
