Massimo Torini
WELCOME TO THE BLACK PARADE THE BLACK PARADE History This band was formed in 2001, when a cartoonist in the name of Gerard Arthur Way saw the attacks on the Twin Towers at his office at Manhattan during the 9/11. He said to himself, "f*ck, I must get out of this basement! Got to start a new life!". Then, he called in Ray Toro, a lead guitarist and a former high school classmate of Gerard, since Gerard cannot play the guitar while singing. Then he called in Matt Pelissier, a drummer and sound tech, and Frank Iero, also a former classmate of Gerard in high school. They jammed inside Matt's attic in Newark, New Jersey and composed their first song, Skylines and Turnstiles, which was based from the 9/11 attacks. Mikey Way, brother of Gerard, was fascinated so much he dropped high school and studied playing the bass guitar under Frank and Ray. They named their band "My Chemical Romance", from Mikey's Irish book "Tales from a Chemical Romance". They then signed in for Eyeball Records and produced their first album, I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love. By 2003, they signed up with Reprise Records and produced two popular albums: Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge and The Black Parade. By 2007, the fan base My Chemical Romance had was called the Black Parade, prior to their future DVD disc set, The Black Parade is DEAD. The site is now then based on the Black Parade.
