TS: Please Learn To Use Proper Capitalization And Please Use Full Stops Because You Will Look Like An Hero

Of course we will be buying it. I won't be getting it for the features. I'll be getting it because of the fact that it's the best GTA up to date. icon14.gif

the editor is soooo much more than what fraps can give u.

SOOOOOO much more.

however im not buying this game thanks to the editor. not at all. i WILL be using the editor for sure, make no mistakes, but im buying IV PC since it's the same IV that i've seen so much of and i was hyped from the get go.

if i ladder the new PC features of how much i care for them than it's:

1) editor

2) more traffic

3) 32 players on MP

4) better graphics

5) independence FM

I'm not buying it for the editor, but if i was..

-The editor allows stuff that isn't possible with fraps, and comes with the game for free.

-Fraps can only record 30 seconds of data - gameplay that you need to plan out - for free. you have to register (pay) it to record for longer amounts of time and higher resolutions.

I'm buying it because:

1. It's GTA on the PC. This requires no further explanation.

2. Game mods.

Sorry but I the point I was trying to make is that the editor is easy to use and make vids with, anybody can do it, I not saying theres anything wrong with it, its just that I prefer the old way of making Machanima, cause I'm so used to it, plus the fact that I have the 'Five Finger Discount' version of Fraps which means I have all of its features tounge.gif I just have the disapointing fealing that all the ppl that spent ages learning how to make vids look good with only the home made tools available to them, are going to be overtaken by ppl who haven't got a clue.

I could of worded it differently but I think you'll catch my drift notify.gif

Yes

I want to see the euphoria engine, for the better graphics, the replay editor and the possible mods for it.

I haven't played it at all so I'm really excited.

You are wrong.

In GTA SA, all pro video creators had FRAPS and SaCamhack as standard tools.

In GTA IV there are features wich include both FRAPS and SaCamhack, but better.

Lemme list the things:

1. Replay and record what you have done in the past ~30 seconds

| - This means if you miss to record something, you can replay and record it afterwards.

| - No more "sh*t why didnt i record this nice stunt".

2. Many different camera views

| - As ive seen, you can lock your cam to your player in many different, and still free, ways.

| - Smooth free camera movements.

3. Slowmotion of replays without loss of FPS.

...i know that you could put GTA SA in slowmotion aswell, and record it without FPS loss. But this is different... you can slowmo it afterwards.

All in all you can go for a nice stunt or scene, playing in 3rd or 1st person, and afterwards you can record yourself with a free camera, while you do those acts.

And i will not flood my youtube account with pointless sh*t. Im a serious machinima creator, and i intend to deliver some fine art with GTA 4 PC.

If this replay feature is as good as i imagine it, it would be great and a huge addition.

On Topic: I will defenately buy the game. I would have done without the editor, but now as i know there is one, i couldnt imagine to buy the game without editor.

BTW: with "editor" i dont mean the actualy cutting editor. But the replay feature where you get your actual video footage.

I've pre-ordered (bought the game) because:

1. Mods - the community has proven how well mods worked with previous GTA games on PC, I expect IV to have some great custom content smile.gif

2. Better gameplay - Replay editor, a custom radio station, smooth FPS (on my high spec PC anyway), better quality graphics and improved online play.

3. Windows Live - I know some of you dont like it, but as an xbox 360 owner with an XBL account, I like Live and I'm addicted to achievements.

4. Its Rockstar - I think GTA IV is a great game and rockstar deserves everyones purchase, for you pirates out there - make sure you buy this one tounge.gif

Massive online gaming fun smile.gif

Thats my main reason. Another reason is it will be much nicer on the PC, definately worth playing the game again.

Nah. But they are great features. I just want to play the damn game lol. I haven't played on consoles since '02 (when I got my first comp) so that wasn't an option. So I just wait patiently (going crazy) for it to come. I'd rather have swag though more so then the editor heh, but no CE/SE for us PC gamers sigh.

Online RPing. I know this won't be possible until MTA because of Live ( suicidal.gif ). But I hope. Anyway, I'll enjoy single player and online DM/freeroam/stunt/machinimas.

You should actually know MTA won't touch GTAIV because of the already existing multiplayer!

Also - hell yeah I'm buying it. It's GTAIV for PC - I don't need special features. Just online muliplayer and shooting/driving...

I really dont know what all the fuss is about the replay editor.Really its just plain lame that everyone is going after that one feature. You know, because of things like fraps, us pc gamers have been recording ingame footage for years, console kiddies. This isnt breaking news.

Sigh, although i can just see tons of 13 year olds posting their collection of gtaiv hooker porn on youtube.

I have been playing the 360 version since April but will switch to PC for these reasons in order:

1. Mouse & Keyboard

2. Mouse & Keyboard

3. Wheel & Pedal driving (fingers crossed)

4. Mouse & Keyboard

5. Replay editor

6. Mods

To me controls make all the difference. Maybe it's because I'm in my 30s and grew up FPSing on mouse & Keyboard, but I can't take a game seriously using the toy sticks on consoles.

Counting the seconds. If it supports a wheel and pedals with Force Feedback to boot, I will have to be pried away from my PC at nights to sleep.

I think the console guys are right, consoles are easier to aim on, autoaim always helps. I just do n ot understand how they can think that is playing a game. How are you playing when someone else is aiming?. That would be like me holding a gun and all you did was pull the trigger, or am i way off base here?.

Are you kidding me? Free aim gives you more freedom than auto-aim. I love taking accurate headshots or shooting any part of the body as I intend to. PC gaming has always been about free aim unlike the consoles which have no choice because there is no mouse. Auto-aim is like turning driving assist on while playing a racing game. You only have to hit the accelerator while the rest is taken care of by AI.

That is what I am saying. I do not understand the controller brigade saying the experience is better on a console. Driving, I can see how analogue controls could give you the benefit of fine adjustment, but aim with a controller?. I dunno, to me even the console diehards have to admit aiming is easier on a PC.

PC controls on this are going to help make the game for the PC, jumping out your car then having a proper aim with a mouse is going to be a real boost, not just holding the button down untill someone dies, you can save bullets by just aiming properly at their heads or waiting for them to pop up etc..

I got a Logitech PS2 replica pad years ago for GTA on the pc, it's amazing for driving, I cant use the mouse for things like that, but thats just me, like flying games with the mouse, I just crash and burn lol

Half the reason I like the mouse aiming aspect is the fact that when I get out of a car in a hurry is that I may panic and miss. Auto Aim seems to take that away from the player. Again if someone can refute this, I am all ears.
