Flesh-n-Bone
Easier than I expected when I first made it without cheats.
!!GC!!
Na, first time through there were about 2 or 3 that i really got stuck on. Other than that it was fine. Even easier when i decided to go through with cheats. Im close to my first 'No Cheats 100%', though.
Cronyne
I find that the GTA series (since the Old Skool ones) has the perfect measure of difficulty in it. I'm sure once I get San Andreas, it'll be no different.
Struff Bunstridge
The storyline missions aren't too hard. I got stuck on Zero's for a while, then realised they weren't essential, so I came back to them and beat them some time later. Some of the earlier missions are harder than the later ones, for me, because of the lack of weapon skill, stamina, and energy at the start of the game. Wrong Side of the Tracks, for example, I was stuck on for some time, whereas I beat End of the Line first time. As for 100%... Does my head in. Still never managed it, even with oyster/horseshoe/tag maps.
Girish
It isn't a difficult game to complete only because we have excellent helpers in the Mission Help forum. But I swear I would have never got to 100% if it wasn't for the help. Here is a list of missions I find impossible to complete no matter what (and I suck at flying): Supply Lines New Model Army Learning to Fly N.O.E. Freefall Most of the LV air races Little Loop (LS Street race) 8-Track (I had managed to do this when I played SA first, but after that, I just couldn't do it) NRG-500 challenge BMX challenge (can do only with the timer glitch) Chiliad races (can do only with the sniper glitch)
One-time
I once stuck on N.O.E or Freefall, but they keep getting easier if I practice more. Now I can finish the N.O.E in only one try.

Here is a list of missions I find impossible to complete no matter what (and I suck at flying): Supply Lines New Model Army Learning to Fly (hmm... I could understand, maybe.. but what about just bronzes?) N.O.E. (took me a few tries too, but I can get it eventually) Freefall (ahh yes, only managed this twice) Most of the LV air races (Barnstorming is the only problematic one for me) Little Loop (LS Street race) I find this the easiest street race! 8-Track (I had managed to do this when I played SA first, but after that, I just couldn't do it) (agree) NRG-500 challenge BMX challenge (can do only with the timer glitch) Tried maxing cycling skill then using Packer/Ambulance? Chiliad races (can do only with the sniper glitch) Haha Girish, 4 years of SA playing and still? I've only been playing for 1 1/2 years, and I've done 2 100% runthroughs without outside help/cheats/trainers already.
Girish
I could have done Learning to Fly with bronze but I always get stuck at 'Circle Airstrip and Land'. I can manage to pass the other tests. As for the other missions, I totally suck at flying and stunting. But then again, I never tried too hard. Most of the times, I just give up if I don't get it within the first few tries. Mission Help forum spoilt me.
dice
BMX challenge (can do only with the timer glitch) It's quite easy if you park a firetruck and an ambulance near the half pipes, of course if you have max cycling skill. But yeah, the hardest thing was flying: I think that flying in Vice City with that skimmer was easyer
Struff Bunstridge
I found that all I needed for the BMX challenge was max cycling skill; you can get almost all of them with good bunnyhopping skills. I always struggle with the one on the lowest halfpipe, though... I can't get anywhere near the NRG challenge though.
Chickstick
The NRG Challenge was the only thing I was stuck on during my first 100% playthrough. Tried it literally dozens of times and in the end only passed it through sheer luck. My second go at 100%, I did it first time. Haha.
Dominioned
i've played sa since like 4 years ago too... stopped when conscripted... re doing it now.... nrg is hard.... completed story line first time round, now trying for 100% nasty side missions.... penguin2254
No, not difficult for me, but then again, I use almost every cheat possible, from Infinite Health, Armor, Ammo and Run to Infinite Fuel on the RC Plane. I haven't played it without cheats yet, but you do have to admit, cheats or not, it is a long game. (compared to the others)
!!GC!!
In the NRG challenge, all you need to do is work out a circuit that works. Then, just persist and dont give up. After a few tries, and staying on the same circuit, you'lll know the easy ways to get the caronas and you'll know the hard ways. Basically, the first 4 times will be trial and error, but after that you can improve your speed and know the easiest and fastest ways possible to get each corona. I always struggle with the one on the lowest halfpipe, though... I can't get anywhere near the NRG challenge though. Do you use the Packer for the BMX Challenge? If you line the Packet up by the entrance so that it points to the end of the half-pipe where that last (and by far the most difficult) target appears then you can ride up the ramp and do a normal bunny hop to get onto that last platform and get the target. It's not really cheating, just making use of things that are available For the NRG Challenge, I've done it lots of times now, but it's still always more by luck than judgement. Sometimes I can do it with the normal clock running. Sometimes it can take ages even with the clock stopped Steve
Zyo
I didn't find SA too hard to complete. There were a few missions that just about had me throwing the monitor out the window. Freefall for a start, I get pissed just thinking about that stupid sh*t. Not only did it take me about 30 tries to get into that damn corona, but it's possibly the stupidest mission ever. Heh, well maybe not. Also hated Interdiction, if you screw up you gotta drive all the way up the mountain again. Tanker commander for some reason took me a few tries to pass. It sounds lame but it still does sometimes. Point being, it's not so hard but it can be frustrating. Not really out of difficulty, more awkwardness for retracing steps to restart I guess. Not really out of difficulty, more awkwardness for retracing steps to restart I guess. I'm rarely too bothered about the Missions Failed stat, so I tend to keep going if I fail a mission. I was surprised first time round at how few trip skips there are. You'd think, for the amount of missions requiring long and arduous journeys, there'd be more. Zyo
so I tend to keep going if I fail a mission. Also the hike from the Police Station/Hospital can be a major drag too. Like you say a few more trip skips should have been in order. Lioshenka
Sa was a piece of cake for me. Sure, some missions like Wrong side of the tracks, Burn and Lap and (impossible!)Stowaway. But then again, it was the first GTA game I completed without cheats. GTA VC seemed helava harder, and GTA ]|[ seems the hardest of them all. In SA everything is so easy, you just can't die. Mein
San Andreas was moderately hard to complete. It had a good handful of mission that were pretty hard, but overall it was pretty easy.
Stefan.
I think what zyonig said is perfectly correct. I don't think the missions were necessarily hard, however I think they were very frustrating due to margin of error, etc. As for the BMX Challenge, all you need to do is be able to approach the top of the half-pipe in a diagonal direction, and then swerve in the opposite direction when you reach the top. Always works for me.
rubregg
The TS has been busted, but oh well, this has turned into a nice topic. For my 1st 100%, I had to consult Glenster's Guide a lot and I also watched some of stuckgamer's mission videos. Had a long struggle with the NRG Challenge back then, and yeah, Chiliad Challenge and flying took quite some practice. Bloodbowl can be bloody frustrating, but not as much as the wheelie. right now wheelie weave is pissing the hell outta meabso-f*cking-lutely

He can still view the answers i guess. wheelie weave is pissing the hell outta me This one does suck. I am mostly surprised about the amount of people who talk about using cheats to make completion (not specifically in this topic) . I never cheated on any of them for any reason. Is this normal? After I first played though the storyline to completion I used a few cleos and rewrote my a few data files including my main.scm but if anything that was to make it more difficult. Gta Guy 108
I think it is fairly difficult, but it is just sooo long.
Stefan.
I find it a bit immoral to use cheats to complete a game, because then you complete it you don't feel a sense of accomplishment, as if you've achieved it fair and square. Even nowadays when I've completed everything, I don't feel the need to cheat because of either (a) I know how to complete each mission or (b) even if I've completed 100%, I am open to a huge arsenal of weapons, so I don't feel the need to cheat just for weapons or some extra money. C_h_e
Not the main storyline, I mean you will have some troubles with some of the missions, could be flying, mini game missions like life's a beach (I hate those "dancing missions, I had to do them like 15 times each to pass them the first time I played the game), or the Zero missions. You will struggle with a few, but if you keep trying you will get them done, no need for cheats, but probably you will check one of the guides out there for those missions you find hard to do, and more than once Now, getting to 100% is another thing, you definitively are gonna have to check some guides, and some videos too. I finally got NRG right after watching a vid, never tought of backing up the bike up the walls until I saw it For BMX I just use the ambulance parked in the hospital, put it right under the ramp, jump on it and then on the ramp, pretty easy
