Girish
Where did England and India play today? just curious! hope it aint mumbai Ha! Good ole' england, foreign nationals are getting shot and their first thought is football. God bless ye' mate. Cricket Pal, i don't think india play football do they? girish will tell ya! We do play football too. Not in the top league though. There's still chaos and confusion around here. Everything is shut down for today. No offices, no schools, no nothing. I can't bear to watch the going-ons on TV. It's just f*cking pathetic. I feel I live in such a volatile place, wherever I go, death is always on the back of my mind. Never know when I'll be sitting on a bomb. I'm not stepping out today. I think I'll go watch some TV just to update myself on the situation. Girish
There is speculation that a political party may have its hands in this attack. The 3 police officers that were killed yesterday were all ATS officers who were supposed to present staunch evidence in the Malegaon blast case in court yesterday. News had leaked that the blast report contained the names of some top political leaders. Isn't it odd that the 3 ATS officers who were supposed to present the report were the only police officers killed in the attack yesterday?
kerouac.
Ha! Good ole' england, foreign nationals are getting shot and their first thought is football. God bless ye' mate. Ha, Good ole titface, doesn't actually look at what someone has written & reply's something pathetic. God bless YOU mate. Shocking news though, Was watching Sky News erlier & its ALL over it. Damn Terrorists. Woah! Sorry man, I didn't mean to offend you. The post didn't elaborate what sport so I guess I made a faulty assumption that it was football. Interesting insight girish, and it kind of makes sense when you think about it in a so crazy it's true sort of way. The political party gets to get rid of some bad press and the west ignores it completely assuming it to be an indiscriminate terrorist attack. makeshyft
When you mention India and sport in the same sentence, it's always going to be about Cricket. Shame to hear about all this, really. Stay safe Girish. I think your assumptions about the motivation behind these attacks may be spot on.

The political party gets to get rid of some bad press and the west ignores it completely assuming it to be an indiscriminate terrorist attack. It's just an assumption though. But still, it's too much of a coincidence that 3 out of the 14 police officers killed were the same officers who were supposed to present the report. I believe the political leaders could easily get in touch with these terrorist and organise such things. Moreover, we only used to have bomb attacks up till now. But this time, they crossed the f*cking line. Imagine entering the main central station and opening fire in the public with an AK-47! Where the f*ck did they borrow so much guts from? I believe the hostage situation hasn't been resolved yet. The NSG are working on it though. Hopefully, there will be no more deaths.

Girish
Stay safe Girish. Second that. Don't worry. I'll be fine since I stay far away from where all this is taking place. 95 out of 100 times the terrorists target the urban areas of the city because they're densely populated than the suburbs and the chances of making a larger impact are more. The closest I got to being near a bomb blast was the Ghatkopar bus blasts which took place only a few feet away from my college back in 2004 iirc. The blasts occurred at 6pm and I was still in the college till 5:45pm. But by the time the blasts ripped through the buses, I had already reached home and it was only when I turned on the news, I found out about the blasts. My friends who were still in college felt the vibrations of the blast. They were pretty shaken.
Gezim
While I was watching this on the news earlier today, I saw some guy with bloody hands panicking around. I don't know if he got shot or anything. Pretty f*cked up though.

Actually, where I live, it's probably one of the most sparsely populated areas of Mumbai. A very quite place. No traffic, no rush hours, not much pollution and lots of trees everywhere. But still, I do travel to different parts of Mumbai. No one can be sure when, where and what would happen at any given time of the day. @Stefan: It'd take me around an hour to reach those blast spots by train. That's how far I live. News tell me that the situation still hasn't calmed down. There are still 6-7 hostages in the Oberoi hotel. I hope they don't end up getting hurt. I'd like to see this end as soon as possible now. Orrish
2 terrorists dead, 4 arrested. Hope they hang these f*ckers by their balls. CNN are saying 18 dead. 7 attacks, apparently random targets but all located in the business and tourist end of Mumbai. How hilarious would it be to hang them by their balls, you wouldn't cheer no..you would wet your pants with laughter. Again im not saying all Muslims are terrorists but all terrorists are Muslims, but with 101 dead and 288 injured, that's quite a toll just as many as 7/7. what a bad day. makeshyft
Again im not saying all Muslims are terrorists but all terrorists are Muslims Timothy McVeigh was a Muslim? What a f*cking ridiculous statement. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christian_terrorism http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jewish_terrorism And that's only the tip of a f*ck-off massive iceberg.
