Lowest graphics settings u'd call "playable"?

Its doesn't load the objects physically, it just holds there postion and there information.

 

The GPU renders it into a solid entity.

Resolutions doenst matter to me.

If its 1024x768 on my C2DP8400 Im happy.

On medium settings.

Its like orgasm xD lol

CPU is just 30% of the performance in games xD, but if u have a 8400 i think u have a good video card too.

 

I expect to run it at +30fps with a 4200x2 and a 9600gt, if not, i mean, if crysis did, gta4 will

That's very true they even said the game had a bit of trouble running on low with a AMD x2 4000+ and a 8600GT and 1GB RAM. That's not overly great news.

I'm expecting very high settings, decent resolution (1280x960), and good fps. I upgraded my PC specifically for this game, and hot damn if I'm not going to be disappointed if it doesn't run the way I want it to.

 

If it really is heavy enough not to run on HD4850 512 OC-edition, AMD X2 6000+ and 2Gb ram, I'm going to go on a murderous rampage, just try and stop me.

Well, according to numerous benchmarks, HD4850 should sweep the floor with 8800GT, even GTX. (Heck, in some games it was better than 9800).

Well, we're not really waiting for the rebirth of Crysis here, unless Rockstar makes a royal screw up, GTA4 _should_ run maxed out on it.

 

I seriously hope it doesn't come to comparing the best cards on the market for playable fps.

1GB of RAM? No offense but you would struggle to open the game if it wasn't for your RAM.

Your CPU is bottlenecking your GPU, very badly. I know it's easy to pop in a new GPU from time to time, but let's not forget about the rest of the computer

 

I'd say you need to upgrade basically everything except the 8800GT.

 

There's always the possiblity it might run, and it probably will, just on low/medium balanced settings.

The lowest setting in general for me would be

 

Everything on low or disabled, res 1024x768 @ 20ish FPS

 

This is for a good game only. One I wouldn't mind suffering for

thy PS3 has 7800GTX and this game requires 7900 just to be safe.

this game's graphics can be lowered to such an extent;that SA graphics will be back.

If my PC doesn't handle GTA4(see my signature) on 1440*900 with FULL AA,AF,EVERYTHING at greater than 60FPS,Then R*'s heavily f*cked up GTA4(which won't happen )

It says the game crashes with single core processor's and that 1GB of ram will barely even load the game

I do still play Simcity 3K (10 years old game lol ). The graphic isn't comparable with any modern games, but I still call it playable.

Graphic doesn't really matter for me. As long as I still able to run it.

There's always the possiblity it might run, and it probably will, just on low/medium balanced settings.

Low is more than enough for me. If it will run, I'll be the happiest person on Earth.

I will upgrade my CPU in summer. At the moment, I'm able to run all of the recent games on medium settings.

If I'll play it with everything on low, no AA and 800x600 res, it would be nice until i upgrade my cpu, then I want it to play on high with 1280x1024 res , max AA and 60% traffic density.
