So I said "to Hell with this sh*t" and promptly went out and bought an XBox 360 and a copy of GTA IV. Then I purchased that keyboard emulator thingy, "cant even remember what it was called.. ", played the game for 3 days straight, then decided to wait till a PC version came out because I just couldnt get used to the fact that it clearly wasnt up to a Quality PC speced version.. And here we are with only a week to go before release of a version of GTA IV that will imho blow the console versions out of the water in everyway..including the ability to mod the heck out of the assets.. I actually prefer to mod these days than play the games..must be my age.. Im 40 on the 3rd December.. Great birthday pressie this release.. It all started with "hey, that looks kinda cool...guess I should give this modding thing a try" Suddenly I had replaced pretty much every single car in the game and made my own billboards/car paintjobs/t-shirts with the help of photoshop and TXD editor... This went on for months, with the ultimate goal of having the game perfectly customized so I could finally get on with actual gameplay. That day never came, there's just so much textures to replace and so many new cars being released that look just a bit better than the last one I guess I should backup my .img files before I reinstall my OS...I've poured way too much time into customizing them to have them wiped out. Gamepad gameplay usually requires auto-aim and fewer enemies for the average player to survive...with a mouse it's as simple as point and click. Sadly, I highly doubt they're going to add more enemies, and giving NPCs more health would just take some fun off of murderous rampages later on in freeplay. I love the mode they put in that lets you play with a 360 controller too and it recognizes it immediatly and changes the buttons on the screen Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

After I play it on PC, i'll have ZERO interest in playing it on a console, as with the other GTAs. If I and my brother get the game (or just brother because maybe it'll be his birthday gift from dad), it'll be my first play. Drive Kill, Jump...the music, the story, the graphics...oooh the graphics... but i digress So with sweaty excited palms I'll rush my newly acquired GTA-IV disk all the way home from my local computer games store to my eagerly awaiting joy machine, humming gently in the corner of my flat, softly beckoning with an open CD tray saying... fill me with your GTA love pump you shiny round flat thing you... yeah can't wait... You know... there should be a competition on these forums for us to think up a one-liner or phrase to be used by Rockstar as a voice over for a "pedestrian" in a new GTA game, they would do it - i saw a video of some GTA-IV game play and i heard this pedestrian character say some dialog which had me laughing like a fat man... anyways... Zorgus Posted December 1, 2008 Share Posted December 1, 2008 (edited) My sister has it on the 360, so I've had a play around enough to know this is one great game, i've done a few missions but I've been holding back for a pc release since way beforce rockstar even said anything.... I just know for a fact that this game is going to work/feel alot better on pc then console.... every game is? for me anyway... i just love the graphics of a pc on maxed settings.., xbox 360 pad connected, glass bong on the side, going to be f*cking ace!! - hook me up guys on your list for some wicked multiplayer gaming! - peace! -- Just adding to this: wonder if they have added voice features into this for internet gameplay - or is that built into windows live gaming? never used it before... guess steam users can use steam for voice....
