I know about pandora's battery, but I thought it didnt work on 2000 and 3000? Well, whatever, I have the 1000 Black, and I love it, it has never failed on me and is just what I need. The only donwside is that I can't use the TV out feature. I have used the 2000 series, it's ok, but it gets smudges on it really easily. Anyways, I would choose the 2000, I swear I'm jealous of those people with it, it seems the additional 32mb ram makes games load faster and is much smoother in-game, the difference in weight for 1000 to 2000 is amazing, much much lighter(well for me), plus the TV Output, brighter screen, better D-Pad, and looks much better, than the ordinary PSP 1000 Piano Black that you see with almost every PSP owner and the quadrillions of fingerprints on them . I consider myself quite a clean person that washes their hands regularly, but I still get fingerprints and smudges all over the PSP. I have to constantly wipe it down with my shirt or a tissue - that's the one thing that annoys me. But like you said, you've had a black one before and loved it, so I assume smudges don't bother you. Anything you here about screen issues is overblown - you're not going to notice it when you're happily playing away. Ultimately, the screen just looks better than the older models.
