Algonquin Assassin
This thread's going to turn ugly. I'll just say you can't fly planes, mod cars, or use parachutes. There's alot of things in SA that you can't do in IV.

Xboxless
In before lock, or if there is none. Listen to what Miami said, those are the main things. (But SA characters don't have individual fingers, so just think about that boyyyy) lol
Foppezão
mmm, in reverse SA didnt had a multiplayer option
gamesguru
It's not how much things the game has got. But how you can utilize what is there to the fullest of it's possibilities; and that my friend is were GTA IV trumps SA in every conceivable way imaginable. Right with that, I'm off......... *runs for dear life*
Scirocco
Character customization! Not to mention a coutryside. That's why I reckon GTA IV won't be playable for as long as Sa, even with the DLC's - the physical size of the landscape (or lack thereof). In SA you could drive to the countryside to get some fresh air when you were bored of the city, or drive to another city, which kept the game playable for 4 years. In IV you're stuck in Liberty City, and that place has me bored to tears already. The multiplayer option keeps it alive for me though. Especially the online racing. The multiplayer part works really well in IV... unlike in some real racing games.

Rachinator
The countryside was pointless i couldnt stand it if i lost my car there and had to walk miles to the nearest road. And who gives about character customisation. Look i have a pink mowhawk now instead of a gold one isnt that such immersive gameplay?! GTAIV is a fine game with real character heart rather than just some loser bitching about how his life sucks balls and its everyone elses fault. GTAIV brings a good storyline back to GTA and i like a good storyline over a fun game thats why i loved VC but SA had too many features that made it unrealistic and just dull. Tim Dog
If only there were 2 different types of modes that you can play: one Realistic mode (what gta4 is now), two Unrealistic mode (all the things you can do in san andreas). Then everyone would be happy. Only the size is the left over part.
Bitola
I'll just go past your charade and bash San Andreas just to break your balls. Good sir I am completely fine with my GTA IV with no modding, next to no guns and next to no clothes because: 1. Niko's fingers don't look like clay and they aren't attached to one another. 2. When I am driving, I am not wielding either one sub machine gun or two. 3. The graphics are better, piss off. 4. I never get to hear someone call someone else a buster. 5. I don't have to constantly eat just to stop myself from being anorexic. Have a nice day.

That was okay for Bully but this is GTA! 5 SMG bullets in the chest should kill straight away! Same goes for 2 M4 bullets in the head!

Head shots kill them right away but if you shoot them in the leg 5 times with a combat pistol, they won't be dead, you have to finish them off with a head shot. Kenster1025
It is too bad that the cop cars have a crappy siren, since R* didn't time the horn right it never sounds the air horn, it always goes to wail. While in GTA SA all cars had a horn, and same with police and ambulance. Also in SA the fire men were so much better at their jobs, also there are no police chases in the streets while you are just taking a walk or cruising around, I miss the liveliness of SA a lot. Arkangel
well, the ones i miss the most are flying planes, parachuting and modding cars... i loved to go under bridges with airplanes, or jump off a sky scrapper with a motorcycle
TonyClifton
Both SA and IV are superb games and have their own special moments. However, in GTA IV, it is nice to actually see Niko getting his money's worth when he picks up a ho.
mulder84
heh... of course there are some things I'd miss from SA... The planes (you could take off and land like flight simulators or scare pple by landing on the highway), jetpack (GREAT for tight spots above ground), the minigun (and the havoc it creates ), vast open spaces (drive 'round listenin to ol' country songs ), etc... But what the hey, there's new stuff in GTA 4 you don't have in SA, like taking a cab (VERY useful), realism, better handling of cars (for me), aiming out car windows, etc... I mean, you take some, you give some... You can't have the best of both worlds... ...but I still wish they'd have put in the vast spaces as well... Nothing like driving alone, or exploring the woods with a shotgun or sth...
