walterTM
I m buying the PS3 and GTA 4 tomorrow and I want help. Which is the best way to finish GTA 4. Like when you need to kill Playbooy-X or other man (don't know the name) and when you need to kill Dimitri or let him lives. Can you write me all decisions and choose which is better. Thank you Edited November 26, 2008 by saintdave

Johnny Klebitz
There's not necessarily a 'better' ending, it just depends on what you would prefer. For example; The Holland Play mission: If you kill Playboy X, then Dwayne Forge gives you X's apartment, which comes with GTA III clothes and a laptop. However, if you kill Dwayne Forge, then X gives you a lot of cash nd states that he doesn't want you to come near him ever again. And for the last mission: Revenge: Kate McReary dies, and I think you get the money you would've gotten from the deal. Deal: Kate doesn't want to see you for the rest of her life, and Roman dies. You get around $250,000, I think. So it really depends on what consequences you'd prefer.

Magic_Al
There is a set of better choices if you define having the most stuff at the end as better. When you are at branch points in the story, if you think about which choice is the more moral or righteous (or less bad), the more likely you are to extend the story and have more special items or abilities: Choice 1: Kill Ivan? Spare him for a random character encounter later (includes a cash reward). Choice 2: Kill Cherise? Spare her for a happier reaction from Dwayne and for a random character encounter later (a chance to beat up another bad boyfriend). Choice 3: Kill Clarence? Spare him for a random character encounter later (but you'll end up killing him then). Choice 4: Playboy X or Dwayne? Kill Playboy X and you get Playboy X's safe house (which includes a pool table and clothes from GTA III), and an email from Dwayne you can reply to to make him a friend, then you can earn Dwayne's special ability of sending two backup gunmen in a car. If you kill Dwayne you only get $25,000. Choice 5: Kill Francis or Derrick? Kill Derrick so Francis will let you call him one time during the story to clear your wanted level. Kill Derrick and you get nothing except character reactions. Choice 6: Kill Darko? Either way doesn't really affect gameplay so you're free to do whatever feels right for the story. Choice 7: Revenge or Deal? Kate wants you to take revenge, Roman wants you to deal. The one you agree with will die. If Kate lives she leaves you, but if Roman lives you can maintain his friendship and access to his car service indefinitely, so Revenge is better for that. You get $250,000 either way. xNamexTakenx
I lol'd at "oder man." Also, you have a choice to kill Darko or let him live. There's no option to let Dimitri live in either ending. Who would want that mofo to live, anyway?
