Soul Pr1nc3
Well I was trying to connect to servers and all of them kept saying connection failed or somethin so I went to www.sa-mp.com and saw there was a new update so i dled the new client. Now when I connect to servers it says i don't have the version..... heres a pic. I'm not sure which version i have but it's obviously 1.0 cause when I go to the main menu I heard it would say like 2.0 if you have 2.0 and doesn't say anything if you have 1.0; mine doesn't say anything . This isn't a torrent dl or steam dl, I bought it awhile back and I could still connect to servers before that update.. will be much appreciated if someone helps me, i will gives u a
archey
did you un-install and re-install your game? is it Us or EU version? Edited November 25, 2008 by archey
radioman
Do you have V.1 or V.2? If you have V.2, you have to downgrade to version 1.1 in order to play multi-player. Multi player only works with version 1 to my knowledge. Also, have you tried updating your video card drivers and ending all non-essential processes before running the game? If not give that a try. Hope this helps. btw, normally this would belong in the multi-player section of the forum, but evidently there isn't one for SA, as the only ones I found, are for Vice City and GTA 4. radioman
SA-MP related questions belong in the SA-MP forums. There is no multi-player section for SA, I checked before I posted, and all I found was one for Vice City and one for GTA 4. I found VC's under the "Hosted Mods" section, and GTA 4's under the GTA 4 section. But I saw no sub-heading on the left side of the screen nor at the top of the page for SA Multi-player. Justin
Your best bet is here, however I will move this to Editing Discussion in case you don't feel like registering at a new forum.

cj360
Start up SA and at the pause or main screen in the bottom right corner there should be numbers if its blank I think its 1.0 other that that it should say which version it is. Like 2.0 or 1.

By SA-MP forums I mean the official forums for SA-MP, not the SA-MP forum on GTAF, which however, doesn't exist to begin with. OT:Check the size of your script.img file which you will find, here: GTA Home Directory > Data > Script If the size is 562 kb, that means your game is v2. If however, it is 568 kb, your game is a v1. This is only affective if you are using default game scripts though. Edited November 25, 2008 by *asim*

That's all I'll say.
