Yeah, and that would be meaningful if your crew didn't have AI of super Mario mushroom. They can't take cover, they get in your way, they circle around you or your car forever. I keep getting out of the car and pressing C to guide them to stand in front of the door so they can get in the car. And sometimes, even that doesn't work.

Can't say I've had that problem on the PS3 version. Infact there's been times where I've stood back, and watched my guys take out the enemies without me doing anything. confused.gif

I'm also playing it on the PS3, and while the A.I. does get a bit stupid at times, I've never personally had it as bad as some of the PC players have stated, so I don't know.

And anyone who hasnt played it yet, all the good sh*t doesnt really stand out as much until you get going, once you have a few soldiers and own some businesses, the game starts to really take off.

It's not without it's flaws, but I personally find them minor and don't detract to much from the game, overall I find it to be a pretty quality game.

I was actually thinking of my familys next move before I went to bed, lol.

So, a bit off-topic but what are everyone's favorite executions.

Mine would have to be taking the bat and shoving it the guy's mouth and then slamming his face into the pavement sending the bat through his skull.

Stabbing a dude in the eye with a crowbar is a close 2nd.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I've been playing some more and I almost finished it. It does get really immersive later on. Although it's a bit easy. I never ever use my guys to take over a business, just compounds. And I think it's more fun to do it alone. Also the soundtrack is great. I listened to some of the radio songs. I love the late 60-s feeling.

@VCRules86: My favorite execution is eating the baseball bat. That sh*t was sick devil.gif

I must say the game is certainly fun, and the crew system is just an awesome feature.

Im actually on my second play through, the first was to get achievements and get a general plot of the story. The second time was a scenic trip enjoying every bit of story and twists.

The crew system however for me felt kind of limited as you could only have a certain amount of soldiers/capos and such. So by the end of the story i had found a better canidate for underboss and found myself having to personally hit my underboss that i had from the beginning of the game and was hesitant about it and felt remorse after the hit. That certainly says something about immersion. Had to off him personally cause it seemed no other AI character was going to hit him first. wink.gif

Overall experience was quite good to be perfectly honest, surprised how good it was after glancing over a few reviews It seems to fall in line with Saints Row type of feel to it.....just a really fun game to play despite its couple of faults.

So no one still figured out how to remove the damn vest and ammo belt? I don't want to bomb by businesses every day to remove the damn thing. But it kills the immersion completely. What's the point of having character customization if that damn vest and belt make you look so stupid. Why EA, WHY? sad.gif

This game needs a vest and ammo belt remover patch.

I completely agree. The ammo belt isn't so bad but that f*cking bulletproof vest gets on my tits so much. specially during some cut scenes.

Exactly. Why can't you wear the vest under your suit?

I don't want to complete the crime ring, because the damn vest looks ridiculous.

I went to buy this game today from my local games store, but they were sold out. sad.gif I've got to wait until Monday before I can look again - hopefully he would of got a second-hand one or maybe even a brand new one in by then.

But £50 for a game? Damn EA.

Does someone else here think Hyman Roth sound terrible? It sounds like the vocie actor is reading directly from the script.

Ive given up on the Game now. I just can't enjoy it anymore

sh*tty graphics, as in pop ups, the very small and sh*tty amount of detail, Dodgy Animation.

Gameplay is boring as hell. If I want to play a third person shooter Ill get something else

I feel as if I am playing a BETA version

Yeah, I finished it too. I'd like some kind of DLC. That would be awesome. But I didn't find shotgun lvl3. Does anyone know where is it? I want it!

I believe the thing is inside Global Storage in Florida. On the right side of the island, inside the small warehouse.

However it's been a few days since i've found it....pretty sure it's there

Yeah, go to the Global Storage in Florida. When you're there go around back of the smaller building there. Around back, there will be a door you need a crew member to open. Get them to open it and inside the shotgun is on a table.

I don't want to spoil anything for those who haven't seen the movie, but a quick question:

Do you kill Fredo?

I don't believe you personally kill him, however he gets offed in a boat in a cutscene at the end. Up until that cutscene Michael has him 'guarded' in a safehouse on Lake Tahoe

so you have that to look forward to, a kind of nod to the movie. wink.gif

I believe you do. It's Dominik's voice in the end when he says: "I'm sorry Frado."

What is it with this game and drums? Magnum with a big drum, shotgun with a big drum, AK with a big drum. Also, that dude playing the drums...

WelcomeToLibertyCity

Electronic Arts will be kindly providing an additional multiplayer mode at Godfather II's launch. But if you want easy access to top flight mobsters like Jimmy Lira, or some excellent guns, you're going to have to pay.

The recently announced list of premium downloadable content includes the aforementioned Lira, who's listed as a "jack of all trades," and comes sporting arson, engineer, medic and safecracker abilities as well as a level 2 machine gun. He doesn't come cheap though, as he'll cost 320 Microsoft Points ($4) to add to your team.

More DLC after the jump.

Godfather II owners can also pick up the Pentangeli Map Pack, which includes two maps for 540 Microsoft Points ($6.75), or a Level 4 weapons bundle that comes complete with a .700 Magnum Impact, Herzstopper, Sniper Wolfe and a Street Sweeper for 320 Microsoft Points ($4.00).

There's also the Corleone Bundle for 800 Microsoft Points ($10), which brings everything together at a slightly reduced price. For those who are interested, the DLC will be available April 23, while the game itself will launch April 7.

I don't know how true this is, but I hope it's true. I mean it's not much but I see some interesting stuff there.

I just picked this up and I've been enjoying it so far. My only problem with the game is I wish it had a little more graphical style. The game, engine, technically, is fine, but it seems to lack a specific visual voice and so it just looks kind of techy.

The game is fun,but there are a few problems.

like New York for instance, its so damn small confused.gif and the graphics, what the hell happened there?

but otherwise, the dons view is cool and the executions are quite brutal this time around.

Omnia sunt Communia

I bought this game today, finally. I just destroyed the Carmine Rosato Compound in New York. I'm not sure how far that is in terms of gameplay, but it's taken me about three/four hours to get here.

The game is fun, and I have no major quarrels so far. It is a bit too easy. Though that's never a reason to complain. The Don's View is excellent and adds some much needed strategy to the game. I love being able to recruit and run my own crew.

Good game, so far.
