Ok to whoever that aid that NYC was as big as Bohan, is full of crap. Seriously it's not THAT tiny.

Sure it is. In the time it takes to drive from your safehouse to the strip club (in GTAIV) you can drive around NYC (in GF2) twice. Sad, but true.

Can anyone tell me where I will find the level 2 and 3 upgrades for the weapons? All I found were the pistol and magnum upgrades.

Tommy Gun

MP-38

Luger

Silenced Colt .45

Delta M1911

Shotgun

.44 Magnum

.501 Magnum Enforcer (It's like a damn .44 magnum with a drum mag!!)

SR-98 Sniper Rifle

Can anyone tell me where to find the AK47, sawed off shotty, and the semi-auto shotty? These are the ones I can't find

Is anyone like me and wish that the next GTA steal some ideas from Godfather 2?

Mainly, rob bank, intimidation, grabbing people blackhand combat, and extortion?

oh, and if Niko could build his own mafia family and recruit people into the family from people you see in LIBERTY CITY, wouldn't that be awesome tounge.gif

promote your own guys

Ok just found 2 of them. the AK 47 is in a buisness in Cuba (I'll find out which but I forget) and the level 2 shotgun is in the Corleone compound. You walk near the gate there and there will be a bunch of bushes you can burn down. Burn them and inside it's laying on the bench. Hope that helps.

Now can you tell me where to get all the level 2 weapons you hav, excluding the shot gun, pistol and magnum?

You can have your opinion. I can have mine.

There's really not much opinion in the argument of one thing being bigger than the other. It's bigger, or it isn't.

So I was interested in this game, but it's been getting shat on for the most part. In comparison to the first game, how is it? I thought the first game was brainlessly fun, taking over the boroughs gave me an odd sense of satisfaction.

ok I'll just tell you where I found all of the upgrades.

.44 Magnum: inside the Carmine Rosato compound. It's on a table along the corridor leading to carmine's office. hard to miss.

silenced .45: on a table on the roof of the building where you save that guy for Hyman Roth. right in front of the stairs you climb to reach the kidnappers.

Delta M1911: sitting on a table in the Mangano compound: inside the kitchen.

MP-38: Granados compound: sitting at the end of a long dinner table.

SR-98 Rifle: Almeida compound, sitting on the desk in Esteban's office.

.501 Magnum Enforcer: this one is kind of hard to find. Fly to Cuba and when you are outside of the airport turn right and you should be lead to a large warehouse next to a freighter ship owned by the Almeidas. Next to the ship there is a long dock like thing, the gun is sitting on a chair to the left of the ship.

P.S-

did you find out what business the AK47 is in.

Ok It's in cuba, which I haven't unlocked yet so I'm basing the AK location on a video I saw. It's in a buisness that has the word Battaglia in the name. I'm sorry I can't give you much more info then that, since the video was poor quality and you could just barely read the name of the place. If you need any more info, just search "godfather ii ak47" on youtube.

I expected for the large map...But no. They thought that people would buy this game because of "Godfather" brand and Family Tree or smth like that. EA failed this time.

Edit: there's no NY atmosphere in the game at all.

Not really, it's a pretty damn good game. So what it doesn't have big maps, go play Oblivion if you want big maps.

I just got my new issue of Game Informer and for those who've read the review of this game, don't f*cking listen. the reviews was false in my eyes. None of the issues mentioned were EVER a problem for me and it deserved much much more than a 5.5. Now I now why I never trusted them for reviews.

First of all, I highly doubt you've been to NY in the timeframe that this is supposed to take place, and second, and this is an honest question...

You do know that there are three maps right?

In my opinion, what the game may lack in graphical polish or physics, it makes up for in strategy and fun, if your looking for a mindless brawl/shoot/drive/repeat, look elsewhere, because with this game you actually have to think, plan ahead, choose your crew, defenders carefully. That dude may be a crack shot, but what good is he if youre getting shot the f*ck up while he guards a stripclub?

The "Think like a Don" tagline is actually pretty god-damn accurate here.

If the game had a more New York feel and much bigger maps then it would be a total win but right now it is ALMOST a fail, not quite there yet though.

Just remember to think like a Don.

You can think like a Dong, but that really only leads to trouble.

BTW- What the f*ck is this "New York feel" everybodies on about, if youre in New York, the last thing you want is a "feel", especially from that panhandler that waits at the bus-stop, you know the one, he's got all that.........yeah.........and the...........ewwww.

I bought it yesterday, and I must say wow. I kind of figured the map the NYC map was small, but there's 2 others anyway.

I love the strategy behind it. Seriously some of the ideas in GFII are the best I've ever seen in a sandbox game. I love how you can choose who you want to run with you, and change how they look. Completley rapes SR2's gang customizing.

My Dominic looks alot like Tommy. lol

Also I've seen alot of people say that the graphics suck. Honestly I think the graphics are awesome. Much better than what I was expecting.

By NYC feel people mean like it doesn't feel like a real city like the first Godfather did. It feels like some small like village or something, I did like the feel of Florida though.

deathdealer

so, from what I'm hearing

pros:

real time strategy(sp)

you can choose your own crew

above average graphics

cons

N.Y. is too small

the story is too short

the A.I. is buggy at times

so, what about the mutiplayer? has anyone tried it out?

D- Ice goes out to get the game.

Man, I am so f*cking bored of the drive, shoot, brawl, rinse-and-repeat bullsh*t now. Now that game makers found out with this gen's even more powerfull technology, they can easily just churn out game-after-game like that, each with a distinct and much improved graphics quality and style than the last and people will buy them. It now all just became so f*cking production-line and unoriginal. Even the first game to truely master that in 3D - GTA 3 - had so much more originality than the sh*t we're getting by the dozen now.

I'd love a game which makes you think - but none of that Nintendo DS bullsh*t, and actually have some awsome crime, shooting etc...

If what you said is true, this game is exactly the type I've been dreaming and hoping for while buying all those generic disappointments I've ended up with.

I like this game. Good for a play through every now and then. I like the feeling of how you beat people up, and the executions give it a more up close feeling.

The thing I love about this game is it requires some thinking.

It's not mindless like GTA, or Saints Row. I absolutely love the empire aspect of it. I've always been into games where you have to manage investments, personnel, finances etc.

Ironically even though this game is set in the late 50s/early 60s it actually feels very modern. Probably due to the empire building.

It's a great game for planning attacks, and choosing the right guys for your family. Alot of the ideas would be perfect for GTA. I hope R* incorporate some into the next GTA.

Yeah, and that would be meaningful if your crew didn't have AI of super Mario mushroom. They can't take cover, they get in your way, they circle around you or your car forever. I keep getting out of the car and pressing C to guide them to stand in front of the door so they can get in the car. And sometimes, even that doesn't work.

The idea of the game is great. But the bugs and glitches and the small maps size make it a bad game. Not worth 60 euros if you ask me.

Can't say I've had that problem on the PS3 version. Infact there's been times where I've stood back, and watched my guys take out the enemies without me doing anything. confused.gif

My Crew AI is all over the f*cking place.

One minute there crack shots, next minute they get stuckin a car.

Also I tell my guy to plant a bomb, which he pulls of succsessfully. Hopefully, hopefully he would have the f*cking intellgence to run but 4 out of 10 times he just f*cking stands next to the bomb.

Though luckly enemy AI is just as retarded so it counterbalances. I still can't get over the placement of the banks. How easy do they want to make it happy.gif Every city the bank is just 20 seconds drive away from your safehouse.

Mr.Ruthless

Love this game. Gamespot is biased as hell.

The character customizing is ace, voice acting and dialogues are great, gunplay is extremely fun (especially the executions, they're brutal) and the Don's View really gives you the feeling that you are in charge of something. Yes, there are bugs, but none of them has ruined my game experience. The game deserves an 8 at least.

Can I go into a gang compound before all their businesses are taken over? I just want to get the weapons.

So you got the short storyline, empire building (kinda). Any more to do in this game?
