Omnia sunt Communia
I'm just loading Godfather: The Game up on my Playstation 3. I forgot I bought it two years ago some when. I was working in a computing shop and managed to pick it up for 99p (on Playstation 2). I'm going to give it a go. If I find out I like it, then I'll defiantly get Godfather II. Sunrise Driver
How big NY in the game is? And is Miami better than in Scarface or Driv3r?
Sergi
I was actually very interested in this game since I enjoyed the 1st one but the lack of reviews for the game and the only review I've seen hasn't given me any hope. I mean most games get reviewed in the week the game releases and I've only seen the Gamespot review and it was horrible. I may just give it a quick rent before I decide wether or not I'd buy it. BioVirus
the game is nowhere near a 4.5 not even close. It's a fun game, has a lot of elements which I wish GTA IV had. The cities are smaller than GTA IV, much smaller. The game has a ton of fun features, like grabbing people and performing combos with your fists or weapons. Intimidating business owners to get them to pay you This game, I would give it a 8.
beavis
So far I've heard mix messages with this game. Some say the cities are too small, the game is too short, but the neat little things you can do go a long way. Anyone can confirm this?
arsenal_fan
This game looks good and im defintley interested because i want another gangster/free roaming game like GTA IV as there is not enough around. But the reviews say it is repeatitive and tons of glitches, so i defintley will rent it as i don't want to get another Assasins Creed!

copperwire93
I'll get this game if they fix the AI and other problems. I can live with the graphics even it looks like PS2 just want good performance. Looks better than SR2 but definitely can't beat GTA IV. Anyway, you don't need to refer to Gamespot score only. This game got 7.6/10 by IGN Edited April 9, 2009 by copperwire93
Rucke
I enjoyed the game but I think the cities are too small. The whole New York is even smaller than Little Italy was in the first game.
Mr.Ruthless
Are you serious? Take a look at Little Italy in the first game - I can't believe they made New York smaller.

Omnia sunt Communia
The maps may be small, but does the gameplay make up for it? Are there enough businesses to extort or rackets to take-over? As long as there's lots of to do, I don't really mind how small the maps are. It's not like I'm going to be driving around at top speeds in the cars of that time. Not the best vehicles ever. Miami is a bit bigger but till to small If you look at the game files, it's named Queens. So why not call it Queens and not the ENTIRE NEW YORK? So basically it's the borough of Queens but it is or isn't a good representation of it? Because people are saying it's only a few blocks and that it's smaller then Little Italy in the first game so I'm going to guess it isn't a good representation. EA should have just focused on representing NY instead off those other cities. I mean I don't understand how they could really have made the cities so small. SA did it 5 years ago so EA can't make 3 cities large enough to represent the cities? For anyone who has played it would you suggest a buy or rental and is it better then the 1st? I guess they thought the had focused on New York enough in the first game. It's not really a problem though, I'd much rather spend my time in Miami and Havana; especially after so many months playing GTA IV in Liberty City. VCRules86
I jumped the gun the other day and purchased this game and I am glad i did. It's quite a leap forward from the first. Sure the citiies are a bit small and the story is a bit short but there are some unique missions thrown in and everything you do ties in neatly with the story of the film. The don's view is an excellent feature which allows to feel like you are the don which is something that had never really been seen in a game like this before. the only gripes i have is that the game is a bit too easy and the maps are quite small but other than that i love this game. 8/10 easy, right in line with the majority of the reviews this game has gotten. ?!=+_-
That's what I liked about the first godfather game that it was easy and had checkpoints, which in my opinion made it less frustrating and more fun,

Zach
Are you the type who likes blazing through a game as fast as you can, or do you like to take your time, explore, do all the side-quests, etc? If the latter and you still finished in one or two sittings, then that's pretty sad. No way I'm wasting $50+tax on that. (And I really wanted to get this game, too.) And what do you mean you think? The game just came out this week. How could you not remember? Edited April 10, 2009 by Zach
Creed Bratton
...the story is a bit short... Exactly how short? I think I finished it a day after I started it. Just like the first one. Only EA can f*ck things up like this.
Zach
Just like the first one. The first one wasn't short. Sure, it can't be compared to GTA:SA or anything, but going by the norm for this genre, it wasn't short.
PacMaan
...the story is a bit short... Exactly how short? For the average player about 10-12 hours. The action in the game is good fun, and i think the strategy part is unique to this sort of game. I just wish it didnt feel so cheap and half-arsed at times. Don Garcia aka NjNakedSnake
From what I'm seeing, kinda sounds like the first game was the better experience.

I don't play any video game more then maybe 3 hours a day yet alone doing just the storyline to complete it in a short amount of time. GoW 2 was around 10 hours and it took me and my brother a good 6 days to beat it and that was on say 2-3 hours a day but that's also with dying and starting over and checkpoint. If Godfather II is 10-12 hours then I probably won't even complete the game for some months lol. I have a habit of playing a game and doing so much with the storyline until I just run around having fun until I decide to get back on the storyline then I usually get another game to play. Zach
I wouldn't go that far. 10-12 hours is the typical playing time for an expansion pack, not a full game. Full games, when not rushed through, should be in the range of 20-30 hours.
