Braindawg Posted November 24, 2008 Share Posted November 24, 2008 Oh! I just remembered! I passed GTA: LCS on my PS2 Like.. a few months ago! Man. This game was so interesting! And the best part.. I didn't use cheats! I have to admit some parts of the game were kinda hard(man I type fast ) But I could not stop playing! I finished it in like.. 78 hours or so.. But with a huge "comeback" thing.. See when I bought it.. I played it for a while and I said "bah.. It's alright but.. you know!" But when I played it again, After like 7 months or so I could not stop playing! It was so awesome! This was like the most interesting GTA so far! I have to say one more thing. WAY TO f*ckING GO ROCKSTAR GAMES! For creating such a masterpiece! I just could not believe I finished it.. after I did! It was such an awesome feeling to finish a GTA game for the PS2 for the first time! Don't get me wrong! I did finish GTA 3, GTA: VC and GTA: SA. but on the PC. Where It would not load mission cutscenes and stuff for like.. 3 seconds(That's kinda a long time if you compare it to the "instant" reaction of the PC versions. As for GTA IV. you might be thinking: "WTF R U TALK'N 'BOUT? DÜD? GTA4 WUZ ZÈ BEST! STFU NÜB!" I know it was really great. But I really have to admit. GTA: LCS for the PS2 changed the way I look at GTA games. I dunno why but I like it the most. I really hope you will respect my choice and thoughts even if you don't think like me. So... I'm gonna go play it right now! I hope at least one person would think like I do in here. Last thoughts: I have to point out that I was amazed when I first saw GTA IV... The new features, the graphics! the engine! It seemed like everything kicks ass! but I'd rather play through GTA: LCS from the start to the end than run around the streets of 2007 Liberty City with a rocket launcher, blowing up people and beating the living crap out of them (I know. greebo-man Posted November 24, 2008 Share Posted November 24, 2008 LCS was, still is, a fabulous game. I think I've racked up about 100 hrs on it, which is pretty f*cking hardcore for my standards. The storyline in particular is the best in any GTA, IV included, and playing as Cipriani was a great touch. I played a few missions, I have not completed Liberty City Stories yet, I am still playing that one until I totally complete it. Still no one has stated why they like it. Good legit points. If you had a choice, is there any characters you would remove from the game? I feel the length of the game was pretty cool. I wish the cut scenes were longer, would have told a little bit more of the story. As for the story itself, I feel the writers got lost after the death of the mayor....there should have been cut scenes that didn't have Toni in it, to explain why Sal had beef wit the mayor. I feel the main bad guy at the end should have been Vincenzo or Paulie, but its all good. It is the first GTA game I have ever played, and I did enjoy some parts of it. I have not completed the game. I am on the last mission so right now I am just looking for hidden packages on the 3 islands, and robbing a few folks for money. Looking forward to Vice City Stories & Chinatown Wars. Sal's "beef" with the mayor is because Sal wants Donald to become mayor so he can help the leones in any way neccessary. I have already finished San Andreas and Vice City Stories to 100%. I might redo VCS without cheats though. Now 1 remaining package, 3 of them I was missing are the one by the unique stunt at the north west of Aspatria, the one by that alley in Chinatown where in GTA3 "The Pickup" takes place and then one by Toshiko's apartment on the grass (can't believe it.) Vinnie Posted December 15, 2008 Share Posted December 15, 2008 GTA LCS is a fine game. I have the Playstation 2 version as I do not own a PSP. I enjoyed playing through LCS it was very much like playing GTA III and when I first played LCS it reminded me slightly of when I first played GTA III. GTA III is my favourite game because I like Liberty City and LCS is a close second favourite, it's a really enjoyable game and the atmosphere though slightly "brighter" than GTA III is just as fun.
