The Miker
I just recently got one of those old OEM Audigy cards that they were putting in PCs back in 2002, the original Audigy model SB0090. Now, for some reason, the latest drivers from Creative's site won't install (says my card is not valid), yet the site says the drivers are for all Audigy cards, including the original ones. So, what's the deal? Is my OEM card too low for their standards now? Or can I force the drivers to install on my system regardless? Oh, also, I heard about ALchemy for restoring things like EAX in Vista...keeping the driver debacle in mind, do any of you think it would be possible to install ALchemy on my card? Google hasn't given me any solid answers, so I'm hoping someone here has had experience with this stuff and can give me some answers. EDIT: Forgot to mention that the older drivers on the site install perfectly on my card. It's just the latest ones that aren't working for me.
