Riezner
Hey guys, I'm looking to branch out a bit in my gaming reviews, as recently I've purchased some titles that I've been rather disappointed with. I bought them because they received good reviews, go figure. So where do you guys go? I've decided that Gamespot and IGN are corporate whores more or less, and have been going to Metacritic or GiantBomb for game reviews. Anyone have any better recommendations though? Drag_Drift
IGN kicks ass. Also why don't you contribute too to our very own gaming reviews index?
Sauron
I like GameSpy.
Democrab
The only one that hasn't been brought out yet, Yahtzee and Zero Punctuation. Mind you, he just points out the flaws, so you just say whether you can live with those or not.
OysterBarron
Hey guys, I'm looking to branch out a bit in my gaming reviews, as recently I've purchased some titles that I've been rather disappointed with. I bought them because they received good reviews, go figure. So where do you guys go? I've decided that Gamespot and IGN are corporate whores more or less, and have been going to Metacritic or GiantBomb for game reviews. Anyone have any better recommendations though? i still use gamespot, but as you said there are corporate whores now. i only go by the user score and user reviews on there now i read a few of them, then make my decision. there reviews are pap. you wont enjoy shaun white unless your a snowboarder thats a biggest load of pap ever. Thats like saying you wont enjoy tiger woods unless your a golfer, Of witch i wasnt but it actually got my into golfing. The new team just review games for themselves and not the wider audience, If they dont like it themsleves they will give it a bad score.
blitsie
I usually go to gamespot, but it ended after I saw the Bourne Conspiracy video review, the guy just made "ow!" and "ouch" sounds throughout the whole video. To be honest,I just buy the game and hope its good.
tuareg
I hate reading reviews therefore i watch video reviews. I haven't got any preferences, i usually choose the first video that is at least 5 minutes long.

3niX
Well... Anandtech and Eurogamer are pretty OK. And Yahtzee can give positive aspects as well ... he just overshadows them with funny bashing.
tuareg
Oh yeah and yahtzee of course haha. He sh*ts on practically every game but gives some positive feedback as well. I love him.
GTASIX
IGN. The new site layout is way better. Only thing I dont like about it is you cant search for just one console it comes up with all the versions.
ryuclan
The only one that hasn't been brought out yet, Yahtzee and Zero Punctuation. Mind you, he just points out the flaws, so you just say whether you can live with those or not. Exactly. Only bad thing abouthim is that he reviews one game a week...BUT that also means he actually spends time playing the games.
Damo.
I generally go to Yahtzee for my reviews. If a game is particularly interesting, however, I'll go to a site such as IGN for a more serious review.
Otter
I can't stand Yahzee anymore. One-trick pony. I prefer the Kotaku reviews. I don't know why more sites don't forego the percentage points system.
3niX
Well... Because then idiots wouldnt bother to check the review out.
Vercetti21
Kotaku and IGN are always in-depth, straight-to-the-point, and usually tell me what I need to know.

Vin.
I usually go to gamespot, but it ended after I saw the Bourne Conspiracy video review, the guy just made "ow!" and "ouch" sounds throughout the whole video. To be honest,I just buy the game and hope its good. x2 I usually buy the latest Xbox magazine, or PS3 magazine, which has the HD videos, playable demos, etc. Which makes me decide on a game or not. Other than that, if you're using next gen machines, or PC for that matter, why don't you download the demos of the game, so you can try them out yourself. It's not hard, and It's free. Don Garcia aka NjNakedSnake
Uh, Metacritic? All the major reviews in one place. Plus one big score based on said reviews.
Gezim
IGN melts my heart. Others suck. GameSpot is a piece of sh*t biased site.
baptiste
Gametrailers and IGN usually do it for me.
DeeperRed
IGN have gone so far down hill recently that there heading towards the core of the earth. I am pretty sure they review there games on hype and not on actual content. Not going to mention any examples becuase I don't want to cause an argument. I tend to look on forums like this for instance becuase the majority of paid reviewers don't give a flying f*ck and alot of the time care more about graphics the gameplay. Zero Puncation (Yahtzee) is a great watch though I would never buy anything based of him becuase he is extreamly subjective. In a nutshell Forums
Rick88
I check out either Gamespot or IGN and their user scores. But I also go to Metacritic. As Don Garcia aka NjNakedSnake already said, they have all the reviews in one place with an overall score based on those reviews. Not a bad place to go. AbSoLuTiOn
I tend to go on IGN.com or Gametrailers.com for my reviews, i've looked at Metacritic a few times and i have recently started looking at the reviews on Kotaku.
MahoganyJoint
nothing really beats gamespot, they do decent reviews, people think there too harsh on some games but there not, they just analyze the games properly also all ther vids are avalible in HD

BlOoDStReAm101
I got to go with IGN. They're not the best as they used to be, but I believe their recent reviews have been improved and their site looks pretty flawless for a gamer.
