Sauron
Allo allo. Well my computer is currently the definition of f*cked, and it is just breaking my balls. Either way, with my complete lack of computer know how I think it is in my best interest to just wipe everything and start over. I am pretty much just posting here to find out how I should go about it and what problems I may encounter, I think I have all the windows discs lying around, is that all I really need? I mean I know to back up all the stuff I really need, but yeah, fill me in on any unforeseen problems I might encounter that I might not think of. Cheers. Sauron
Simple solution is to Format your system. Fine, but if it doesn't work, I'm coming for you. edit: While I have this topic, my fully sik speakers aren't working and I have no idea why. They are plugged in and everything turn and but they don't make any sound. Do I need to install them or something? Because I swear they didn't come with a disc and they usually just work when they are plugged in. Edited November 23, 2008 by Sauron.
XMike
Don't mean to scare you, but just be careful when formatting, last time I formatted my old computer the hard drive died and I fried the motherboard / cpu and yeah, that's why it's my old computer now. Wow, you seriously f*cked up. Formatting your hard-drive won't break the hard-drive or fry your motherboard. It's just writing different data to it. Cursed
It's just writing different data to it. His hard drive could have been on its last legs, and all the data transfer was too much for it. Anyway, a simple format will do you well, make sure you have the drivers you need for the PC before you format though. It's always a pain searching through the internet trying to find your No-name speakers driver.
