Saved my life when I just got my 360, and needed to download updates/demos. Just hooked it up near the internet connection. Or maybe just get a video card that you can connect your xbox to. What he's saying, is because the OP is too far away from the internet source to connect and download the update, the DVD player is used as a portable screen in order to connect the 360 via ethernet cable and download the update. What he's saying, is because the OP is too far away from the internet source to connect and download the update, the DVD player is used as a portable screen in order to connect the 360 via ethernet cable and download the update. All you have to do is watch a youtube video se or ask around here and know what buttons you have to press and when. So maybe he could just wait like 20 minutes after downloading and take it back to his room. Or if he has a little tv just carry it out to his connection.
