Seddo
f*ck yeah, finally getting this game tomorrow (hopefully), don't know how i've managed to last this long without it as the demo was awesome .
Algonquin Assassin
I'm a Batman fan from the original movies, and absolutley loved The Dark Knight. A friend of mine said the other day that this was one of the best games he's played in a long time. There was an ad on TV the other night, and I really like the look of it. Judging by the responses in this thread it must be a pretty awesome game. Looks like I'm going to pick it up tomorrow for my PS3.
Creed Bratton
I just got it for PC yesterday. It's a god damn awesome game! Best game I played in a while. Everything about it is just perfect.
Lodis
So this game is actually good? I was aware of this game before realease, but was a bit suspicious if it was any good. I mean many of these super hero games have turn to sh*t. But what I have now heard and read is that this game is actully pretty awesome. Any comments? Though I think that I am going to get it any way. This game is not just good, it is one of the best super hero games you will ever play. You feel like you really are The Batman, you fight just how he fights in the movies. In fact, playing this game often feels like you are taking part in a Batman movie. I hope they will make a sequel but the only problem I can see is how they can top this. I guess they could release more of the same since I can't see how it would be easy to improve significantly on such a masterpiece. Buy this one, the stealth elements alone are worth it and the free flow combat is good enough to stand alone as a beat em up. This game is simply epic! I would buy it on the PC so you can get the Physx, the mods, greater control over settings, better looks etc
Seddo
I have to agree that this is the best superhero game i've ever played, just awesome. Plus i haven't come across any bugs or glitches yet which is quite rare for a game these days. Some of the stuff the Joker comes out with is funny and is well written. The Scarecrow parts were weired and awesome at the same time. I'm currently on my way to Killer Crocs lair so i'm sure that bit is going to be fun once i get there. Like i said a fair few pages back the character bio's are a good feature in the game as i don't really know much of the Batman universe so i'm learning about them while i play. Same here. I know a little bit about Batman universe because I used to watch the cartoon when I was younger and I absolutely adored everything about Batman. The character biographies are a fun addition. I like collecting Spirit of Arkham secrets the most. I'm playing on normal difficulty. And I like how you get the feeling that you're superior to your foes and you know you can beat them, but if you let your guard down you will suffer the consequences. Pretty neat. I'm definitely gonna replay it on hard once I beat it. I just entered the Botanical Garden. Can't wait to see what awaits next I hope they make a couple of sequels
Tchuck
f*cking AWESOME game! Great story, great gameplay, and just great overall! Finished it, now I'm on to exploring every nook and cranny of the island. The bossfights, the combat moves, everything, it just works. This is how a superhero combat game should be done. No frills about, no "press A + B while jumping forward to perform a super-mega-ultrablast", just plain old smack smack smack! And it just flows. Nothing like throwing a huge combo, dodging every bad guy you can, and breaking some legs and arms here and there. Can't wait for more DLC or the next one! There was nothing special about any of them, except maybe Kiiller Croc, but that was way too easy. The Poison Ivy fight was the worst part in the game. I just need Freeflow Gold for Platinum now, F*CKING PISSING ME OFF. The combat system can be very unreliable when everything needs to be perfect. The combat system can be very unreliable when everything needs to be perfect. Good luck on that one. Are you stuck on a specific challenge room or do you still have a few to go? Shock and Awe (Extreme) kept me from my platinum for days. Easily the hardest achievement I've ever had to work for. I'm loving the two new maps, I really can't wait to see what else they plan on kicking out as far as DLC is concerned. Hopefully we'll get more 'survival' maps. IMO, they're a lot more fun than working in rounds.

I'm about 10,000 from the third medal, I know how to do it, in the last round with a crapton of people, but I can't seem to pull it off. I always lose my combo thanks to the block throwers or gunners. I just went through the story on easy to see just how short the game is, I did it in 3 and a half hours straight. Algonquin Assassin
So I got the game today, and wow. I absolutely love it. I have a bad habit of loving games the first time I play them, but get sick of them after a while. I don't think that will be the case with this one. I love the fighting. It's so bad ass. I got the two new DLC maps, aswell as playing as The Joker. The dark, and gritty feel of it is so awesome. It actually reminds me a bit of Manhunt. I had Batman Begins on Xbox, but I thought it was sh*t. This game just gave me a new appreciation for the Batman series. Can't wait to play more of it. SIKKS66
This is my new wallpaper Yooooink! Awesome idea: They should bring out new characters to fight with in challenge maps lol. Like Superman and Flash lol. Or maybe even some of other characters in the game. Would be cool if when you unlocked a character model you could use em in Challenge map. Kicking arse with Gordon would be funny lol.
Algonquin Assassin
I just encountered Scarecrow. I tell you what I don't get scared very easily, but the whole morgue scene with Batman's dead parents sent a chill up my spine. I love the creepy factor this game has. It actually feels more sinister than some horror games. This game just keeps getting better, and better.

Creed Bratton
I finished the game today on normal. The final boss (you know who) wasn't that hard. The section before the final boss was. I can beat the crap out of 600 henchmen, it's not a problem. But when you have 2 henchmen on Titan along with those regular bastards it gets pretty hard. I have found all riddles, now I only have to beat the challenges. I've noticed dome people on other forums are complaining about the lack of new game+ mode, and armored batsuit in story mode. New Game+ would be sweet, but that armored batsuit isn't really anything special. I like the default one better. I must play this on hard when I finish the challenges. Best game I've played in many many years. At least I got what I played for.
Blackadder.
Just got past the first Killer Croc encounter (dunno if there's any more). The most recent encounter was pretty awesome and creepy at the same time. The way it played like the intro but in reverse, the fake death etc. The writers for this game need to give themself a pat on the back. Combat is pretty funny though, when people are on opposite sides of the room Batman just slides across the room to punch them.
Xboxless
I love this game, I am good at fighting, but Shock and Awe(Extreme) is giving all sorts of trouble, still a great game tho' Haha, yes, I got that Achiev for using all of batmans abilities in one combo, makes me feel AWESOME!! Blackadder.
So I finished the story today. Found it kind of funny the second last battle was harder than the last The post credits scene was pretty cool, there's three of them, so hopefully if they make a sequel all three will return. Seddo
Bumpety bump. So i've been looking at a few telly's in the past few months and have been reading that 3D TV's will be getting release in Europe in early March and then i've just come across this bit of info... Square Enix has confirmed to CVG that the Batman: Arkham Asylum Game of the Year Edition will release in Europe - complete with 3D options - on March 26. So that's Batman: Arkham Asylum getting a GOTY edition which will ship with a pair of glasses to enjoy the game in 3D. Also you get like 6 new challenge maps. I would of thought you'd have to get a 3D telly for it to work but it apparently works with standard TV's as well as HDTV's, anyone interested? http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=237670
The N. Bellic Man
Could be interesting. I haven't played any video game 3D, so this could be fun. Playing the (one of) best game of last year on 3D. But it also could be totally lame. Hard to say.
Mister Pink
Sorry for the bump. Been playing this game for months now. It's soo much fun. Don't know why I went and bought this game. I think it was cause of the praise it was getting and I wanted to try something new. One of the best decisions ever. I've been picking this up, playing it and then putting it down for about 6-8 months now. I think I'm getting near the end. Did any of you collect all the interview tapes and Riddler collectables? Is there a reward? Also those round stone type thingys. I found a good few of them but I forgot how to 'unlock' them (use scan). Any reward for getting all them? I'm half tempted to restart the game and play through it quicker in longer playing sessions and try get all the collectables. Anyone who's wandered in to this topic and is curious about this game.. I'd highly recommend it! You don't even have to be a big Batman fan or anything to enjoy it. It's just a well thought out enjoyable game.
