Lethal Nizzle Posted September 4, 2009 Share Posted September 4, 2009 This game kicks so much ass, the challenges, although annoying sometimes, are quite entertaining, I believe I'm in the 1100s for the scarecrow nightmare free DLC. Is the DLC a console-exclusive or for all three platforms? If I'm not mistaken, the Scarecrow challenge map(s) were Gamestop exclusive for preordering the game through them (though it could be different by location). The Joker DLC is exclusive to the PS3. I wouldn't be surprised if they released the Scarecrow bit on XBL/PSN later on down the road. Ah thanks. For any Gaystation 3 owners out there who have the Joker DLC, what's it like? mark-2007 Posted September 5, 2009 Share Posted September 5, 2009 After reading a bit through this topic, I downloaded the demo for this from the PlayStation Store and played through it. It's brilliant! I'm not a big Batman fan by any stretch of the imagination, or a big fan of any comic heroes, so I started pretty clueless about everything (haven't even seen Batman Begins or the Dark Knight! Which will have to change soon). The character bios were pretty interesting reads and gave me a good grounding in the characters that were unlocked. The combat's pretty good and I enjoyed doing the inverted takedowns from gargoyles in that last room on the demo. I'll definitely be buying this some time. pyramid head Posted September 6, 2009 Share Posted September 6, 2009 In the area where you fight harley quinn there is one of those stone tablets in a cell for whatever reason i'm unable to scan it and i can't open the door to get at it the panel for opening it is busted if i miss out on it this time can i get it in the next game or would i have to collect them all again. Once you finish the game, you can freely go about Arkham Island as you please. mark-2007 Posted September 7, 2009 Share Posted September 7, 2009 How many Riddler trophies are there in the demo (I'm on PS3, dunno if that makes a difference)? I found one in the room where you subdue Zsasz from a goblin behind him. Also, in that same room, is it possible to destroy the weak wall? You must have found a strategy I haven't, I just can't best my 38s. Good job on 32, that's a damn feat imo. Heh, I had around 7 minutes the first time I beat it, rather surprised I was able to take it down to 38s. Reminds me of the end of Batman Begins when Gordon hands Batman a Joker card, leaving it ready for the next film. Over the radio at the end of Arkham Asylum we hear about Two Face/Harvey Dent robbing Gotham Bank with Batman flying off to the rescue. Also, Scarecrow lived (if you didn't notice lol). So maybe that's the set up for the next game. Batman: Gotham Knight anyone? Batmobile and Batwing flying? More gadgets? New supervillains; Two Face, Mr. Freeze, Mad Hatter and a returning Scarecrow? She doesn't look like a Batman villain, she looks like someone tried to cosplay as the nurse from Silent Hill and failed. I do not like, at all. I'm guessing they'd set it somewhere else within the Batman universe, Gotham probably. In fact, I don't know anywhere other than Gotham and Arkham Asylum. I should watch some of the movies, really. Looks like we'll already be getting some DLC on the 17th! Free as well! That's all the news I can find so far, so it may be minor DLC, or it could be some decent stuff. We'll see! I mean many of these super hero games have turn to sh*t. But what I have now heard and read is that this game is actully pretty awesome. Any comments? The new freeflow challenge is a survival map, instead of 4 rounds, but I didn't try the new predator challenge. It's great fun, definitely recommend it!
