ace76543 Posted November 17, 2008 Share Posted November 17, 2008 Hey I've been trying to download the new patch, but every time I do, the download freezes and eventually a message comes up: "An error has occured during the download operation.[80710723]". Having searched the net I haven't found a solution. Turning the ps3 off and on doesn't help. Is it possible to download the update on my computer and transfer the update to the PS3 or are the updates only download-able through the PS3? stubleman Posted November 24, 2008 Share Posted November 24, 2008 I found the solution. I suddenly realized that it could be a PS3 issue that's not necessarily related to the game itself. I changed my search keywords, found an answer, tried it and it's working. Go to your PS3 options and turn your Media Server "Off". Then start the game and download/install. pairass Posted December 3, 2008 Share Posted December 3, 2008 sorry for my ignorance but i couldn't find where the PS3 options is located,what i've found though is the media server connection under network settings and it's disabled by default, and still couldn't download the patch. can someone help me pls???? Heres another solution, try to switch to a wireless connection, then try to enable DMZ ports for your ps3.
