kost99
hey all, my first post here, on what seems to be a frequent issue with how to fly the skimmer lol... well i passed the game several time (though not completely...robbing...getting all the secret items and whatnot...) My problem is that this time around, the skimmer goes along the water VERY slowly and the num keys 6 & 9 dont seem to have any effect on it (and yet they work fine when flying a chopper) My guess is that something is messed up....and i might need to re-install At this point I must've tried it at least a dozen times any ideas?? thanks
Cronyne
Well it's not a big deal if it needs to be re-installed I don't think. Just put the save file somewhere else. (Shouldn't this be in troubleshooting?) Edited November 17, 2008 by Cronyne

Spuds725
It may not be a glitch-- are you sure your keys haven't been re-mapped-- or is you num-lock light lit?? GTA_goD_01
Another possibility is that waves on the water are slowing you down. If you tried a few times it could be a coincidence that the weather was stormy each time you tried to fly the skimmer. Try turning the plane and flying at a 90 degree angle to the path of the waves (along the wave crests / troughs).
glenster
The Skimmer won't take off if the frame limiter is turned off.
