Only thing is, I think it's not gonna have the same tongue-in-cheek humour of the TV series and earlier movies, which means I think it'll be slammed by die-hard fans. Actually, I was bored so while I was looking this up on Wiki, I read this nugget, regarding JJ's thoughts on the flick: He (JJ) does like Star Trek's optimism though, being an optimist himself, and felt the film would be a refreshing antidote to films like The Dark Knight.
