Also, if you're wearing glasses or a hat, you have to take it off to start one of those missions where it requires Niko to wear "smart" clothes. But, I'm pretty sure after either Roman or Kate dies and you end up waking up from your bed, you can change into anything you want. I don't know why he wakes up in those clothes, but you are able to change before you do the very last mission. I know I did. I changed both times I played!
