Then I got a call from Roman for a date, joining him to throw darts. Well, I was on a date prior with Kate...good ole Kate!! The car I was using was smoking a bit from a few hits into things...but I persisted with it! Not the best idea. I picked her up and headed to the eatery in Hove Beach. Coming down to the split two way where the street splits in front of the pizza place and Outlook Park. That's where I crashed and my car burst into flames! I bailed out but the car pretty much had to stop before Kate got out...she was on fire at this point...burned to a charred remains...with the words "kate has been killed', on the screen. Well, since I'm new with this, what happens now? A call from the McRearys to attend an unplanned funeral?? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Slamman Posted November 16, 2008 Author Share Posted November 16, 2008 I just get the feeling someone managed to kill someone important, most likely out a need to do it, however, I play by the game 'rules' in that I only managed to SCARE characters you inter act with. A few times, this was with the ancillery characters that appear throughout the map. Two instances, rather then walk or drive up to them, I scoped them out with my rifle. They obviously got scared when I fixed them in my scope, so they run off and the mission resets only when you return to the location later. You should always stop, open, and run (much like the familiar stop, drop, and roll tactic taught to children), and never bail unless you are unacompanied. On my first run through to 100% I had Little Jacob die on me. I never killed him or let him die and had no idea what had happened, but I got a call from him asking me to pick him up at the hospital. Then one time I followed him as he drove off after getting some guns from him, and I saw what a horrible driver he is. I assume that he got himself killed somehow out of my view, but close enough to me so as to not have disappeared yet. As for the realism (or lack thereof) surrounding picking a character that is needed for game completion up at the hospital after they die, I guess it's not that bad as it's the same as what happens for you.
