My question is did Microsoft or Rockstar make the graphics better. Like did they make the resolution better. I have an HDTV would it make the screen resolution more better. Magic_Al Posted November 18, 2008 Share Posted November 18, 2008 It's no different. It does start up faster from the hard drive than from DVD, so that's something. However maybe that's not even worth paying for if you already have a San Andreas Xbox disc, because the new 360 dashboard allows installing games from DVD to hard drive (I don't know if that works with original Xbox games though). Actually, I think the Xbox versions of Vice City and GTA III look much better than San Andreas on the 360. They upscale to HD better than San Andreas does, in fact it looks to me like they actually render at the resolution the 360 is set to, which San Andreas definitely does not do. Edges will look cleaner and some textures may turn out to be more detailed (for example, you can read number plates better from further away), maybe there's surround sound supported, but the rest is the same. The OP clearly states that he wants to find out if he can download the Xbox Original from Xbox live, not play it on his PC and try and get better textures. EDIT:Oops...just found out that Wales doesn't have a HDTV service. Doesn't the BBC have HD in the UK? Because they have it in Australia (yes, the BBC has a HD channel in Australia) Still, you should know what HDTV is! P.S. Sorry about the double post...his post just staggers me.
