I know what R* should allow us to do. Everyone who pre-ordered GTA IV should be allowed to download the RELOADED release from the torrents when it is released. Because most of the people are ordering from internet and it takes 2-3 days after release date until You will receive it. I will have to wait until Monday 8th December because it comes out 3rd december and I choosed 3rd day shipping. I should receive it on Saturday BUT FU**** UPS IS CLOSED AT WEEKENDS! suicidal.gif It is horrible. Like on next wednesday, it is out and I can't play it! HORRIBLE! cryani.gif

Well, I will be picking up IV when it comes out the first day but, I will have to wait until I get my new comp.

 

So I won't be playing until mid-late Dec. tounge.gif

Thats why you should buy it from the store not pre-order it.

You have to pay damn sales tax in store and my state has high sales tax.

Also, the stores in these "third party" countries are gating it a few days later anyway. Near my town there's on proper PC game store and I have god two hours drive to it and back.

Yeah, ill be at my store at 9am aswell. I can remember when i bought GTA SA in that store in the very morning when they opened. And i can remember that the game was still in their storage rooms, but the staff got one of it for me smile.gif. I wonder if the same happens on wednesday next week.

Just a tiny wee note could you stop talking about warez groups or when, how, why, where and who about the illegal leaking of the game. This thread is to discuss the LEGAL release date of the game. Not when some scum will allow people to steal it.

My local software store wins. I get to install the game 10 minutes after ive bought it at the store. Thats around 9:10am the 3rd of december biggrin.gif

I have heard, in finnland people camp infront of stores, so GTA 4 will be sold out on the release date, is that true?

Well, we might get it in stores on the 3rd, but I went on a stupidity rampage and ordered it from a (finnish) online retailer..

They gotta get it on the 2nd so I will have it on 3rd. (1-day delivery)

Well, i havent seen much advertisement either. But maybe its because i dont watch much TV, and for the IV Console there only was a single spot on TV in germany. All other advertisement was through the internet, and theres alot now and back then.

Another day passed, 5 / 6 days left. Its so damn close now.

 

Also i got myself the money in CASH to buy GTA 4, along with my upgraded PC my GTA 4 PC experience will be PERFECT. Cant wait smile.gif

i have been so busy and stressed at work that i haven't noticed time passing. just now my wife yelled over (her home office is next to mine) saying 'hey doesnt gta come out next week?'. that line almost lifted all of todays work stress.

PC games don' tneed adverts on television, as a typical PC gamer will already know about a game LONG before an ad would ever air.

 

 

Did you ever see an ad for high-selling games like Half Life 2 and Crysis? Sure, if a game is on consoles as well, it'll be advertised on TV - they jsut have teh "PC" stamp at the end of the segment. I recall that for Bioshock and Fallout 3.

 

But I don't recall seeing an ad for a PC-pnly game for ages. If at all..

 

then again, I watch very little TV these days, i jsut et exposed to ads of other peoples' houses and i always jsut downlado every show i watch. The only actual broadcasts i ever see is news and the odd movie on IFC or the Documentary channels.

ITT : Long sentences.

 

The reason behind TV advertisements is that games on the consoles are so weak into addictiveness that the people just go and check TV after a boring game of halo 19. So they see ads for another boring console game. On the PC people are wandering on internet and posting on forums where there is a thread in wich they countdown the days for the release of a game they'll stick for about 6 months of intensive play and fail their school and end up in a garbage can.
