Finally found a game where almost everyone had a mic - like 7-10 people! We set our voice changers to level 3. I'd go backwards and grief while he would race seriously. Until he f*cked up, then he'd join in the griefing. I would specifically target the mic people, pissing them the f*ck off! Especially since I was doing my Pablo gimmick where I pretend I am from Mexico and can barely speak any English. I'd always promise to play seriously "next game" when folks would threaten to kick me. Of course, it was a lie. And of course I got that predicable asshole who would say that I only went backwards because I SUCK and couldn't race. So of course I raced seriously once and won by 30 seconds. YAWN! But it was fun. I've never seen so many people with mics before in Race mode. And I survived a whole sh*tload of games without getting kicked, despite the griefing. Rudy last night I was going to message you and CD to get you guys in this race I was in with two other Mics. They were friends apparently by the way they talked with each other. I however remained silent and raced like normal carefully observing their reaction to someone else that was already attempting to grief the match. I managed to dodge the griefer, but they got hit several times and spent the entirety of the next two races bitching back and forth about how "people who turned around backwards were stupid, jealous, they sucked, etc..." you know the drill. Before I could invite you guys I know one or both of you logged off. Two races later I was fed up listening to their whining, but before I could turn around and surprise them with some griefing of my own they left the damn lobby. Then he gave me a lift in a chopper, headed out to see, jumped out. Sorry man, but yeah, while that is a good joke, two things you might want to consider: 1. I stayed in the chopper, which killed/drowned my charactor and I respawned back on land. 2. You landed in water, miles away from the shore with no way of respawning. So, who exactly got suckered? I spawned into some AA on game, invited dkz, played for real for all of one game and reminded myself why I really can't stand AA games and the 9's and 10's who think they are so much better and really really aren't. Next game dkz is like "let's grief the 10's!" Not sure what he was up to but about 1 minute in I see the messages popping up to kick him, so I flooded to kick the guy voting to kick him, grabbed my firetruck, headed back to Colony Island. Mind you, my teammates were Mexican so I would curse them out in spanish ( no sirve para nada pinche maricon!!! ) then claim I didn't understand spanish and demand they speak to me in English. Adding the firetruck griefing only enhanced the experience. I had to leave, but I know dkz must have done his job since they did kick him from the room. WELL DONE!!! RPG/FF On levels still remain a fave but as much as you get people sticking around to play along, just as many times I end up with games like earlier where me and dkz are trying to find amusing ways to kill ourselves as we were the only two people left in the game. I did pull out my passive griefing again, sh*t talking some dude telling him no matter what he would NOT be able to kill me, so of course I blew myself up whenever he came close and even managed to rush up on him and murder/suicide (my personal fave!) Also, had a f*cking hilarious game with osmael the other night, never had a chopper pilot on my team helping grief, though I am sad between that game and tonight with dkz I was unable to achieve my goal of spawning, then blowing myself up in the air and into the chopper blades. It was fun blowing that guy in the car repeatedly into the water thought! I thought I'd try to grief ya before I left for the night, but you stayed in the darn helicopter and died. Mission failed. It was basically the funniest thing in the world Yeah dude, that was hilarious! The game was lagging for me and my rockets wouldn't explode for about 5 seconds so I had to get all my team kills by murder/suicide, which added to the excitement. It's great when you get those games where everybody sticks around for the whole game (or only quits within the last minute). You in the chopper coupled with the RPG's made it feel like utter, sheer chaos of the most amusing sort! Plus, microphone griefing is often the best part of griefing. I agree with Chris, it's the best of times when you start and everybody is pissed off, cursing at us yet by the end everybody is laughing and we had a great game. I came across someone names ConanLA (don't remember his exact name) who I spawn killed today. Everyone else was fighting so he still managed to win the race. In the 20 some minutes it took for the thing to finish up, he sent me one hate message after another, after another, after another, etc... until the race finally ended. Speaking of which, how funny was that this morning Chris/Jordy? The entire point of the game was to practice against a chopper pilot but there were some open slots, joined by some roudy gents from the UK. After a bit of their mother insults, dissing me because of my American accent, etc., I just couldn't fight Jordy since I REALLY wanted to teach those guys a lesson, especially since I came in with totally good intent! At least after one of them (the one not abusing his girlfriend while playing GTA, lulz?) accused me of being a "f*cking fat American" I got to say "Yes, yes I'm a fat f*ck because all I do is sit around, eat food, and play video games so I can kick the sh*t out of crap players such as yourself". You dont have anything better to call me but a noob and you started this "fight" but you dont finish it."Never heard from this child every since. Apparently they didn't notice the FF On, the fact we were team killing and blowing ourselves up, and particularly interesting was that they didn't know (even with their 6 - 8 levels) that you lose money when you die or kill a teammate, bragging about how I had no money when meanwhile, I had 8 kills when I chose to kill them vs. the 2 times they managed to kill me. lulz I then spawned into a game with 2 guys named DirtyJ3W and Mexican_Hitler, so you can pretty much assume how much fun I had griefing them. They decided to try and reverse grief me, attempting to drive me over etc but weren't particularly good at it, the whole time calling me a n****r and a dirty jew (the most common insults the racists use it seems). People like that 100% deserve all the griefing they get. I can only hope the sound of the I Dream Of Jeannie theme will be running through their head all night as I sang my griefer theme song over and over for about 10 minutes. With Race it's usually "you suck so you just go backwards" or something similar, but with GTA Race I hardly ever get that. I do enjoy the "your mom is ______" stuff and F-you, how entertaining!! SuperJude™ Posted January 25, 2009 Share Posted January 25, 2009 In the spirit of full disclosure, I feel it's my duty to report when I myself have been griefed, though this may not have been in the traditional sense. It started normally enough, playing my regular account, accepting an invite to a disallow game. I play 2 of those and do okay, 7-4 (warming up) my first game, 10-0 my second. Then the host switches to aa on, and since they seemed like a decent crew and it was an active room, I stuck around. Of course most people here understand that it's fairly easy to get a lot of kills with aa on, so I did pretty well over the next 2 games. Finally everybody leaves save me and these 4 other level 8 dudes. They refused to be on my team in any configuration. A 1 and a 2 join so instead of playing alone, I team up with them. I really don't mind being "that guy", the one with at least some skill who plays with the n00bs. When I say I got griefed, what I mean is I had 4 (turning into 3 after the one dude quit halfway through) aa loving level 8 guys, all bent on not losing to me again. Did I mention AA??? They made it the most miserable f*cking game ever, all their mincy little hiding, cornering, dragging the game out nonsense. Like if I didn't make a move, they were all content with sitting on the corner for minutes at a time, waiting for AA to kick in. f*cking pricks. Pretty amusing 4 8's had to team up on me. Amusing that one quit. Amusing that I still got most kills despite it being a wretched, horrible game. I invited MrJohn in hopes he would spawn on their team and grief them but it wasn't meant to be, he spawned in solo It just got me really mad because I let myself play just one more game and let myself walk right into a set up, the old "whatever it takes I will defeat this person and save my honor!" bit. It took a while before I even realized what was happening and that they had really, truly, intentionally teamed up in order to annoy me and try to take me down. f*ckers. Whatevs...I had most kills, I bitched the one guy with a mic out for being such a f*cking pussy, the logged on to my griefer account to do it right and proper.
