What are your expectations for GTA IV PC ?

(I am not intending to offend any console players, nor the console version of the game. I just want to state what i expect from the PC version of the game compared to the console version)

In my oppinion GTA IV PC will be(-come) much different then the console version of the game. Besides the graphics increasement, there will be alot of potential in the PC version wich you not will be able to have in the XBox360 or PS3 version. There are personal and general advantages wich people can take from it.

- I personally do expect the controls to be as nice as in GTA SA. Using the mouse to look around while driving with "wasd" controls is something i trained with GTA SA and what im looking forward to work as well in GTA 4.

- Setting the graphics to my needs to satisfy my hunger for FPS (Frames per second) is something i really appreciate.

- Then theres is that huge thing called "Mods" wich yet only can be calculated as a big plus, as we all know it was in GTA 3, GTA VC and GTA SA.

- The multiplayer is a great new addition of rockstargames. I am looking forward to get some cool servers, DM, TDM etc aswell as modded servers for things like Roleplay.

Post what you expect from GTA IV PC.

Post the positive things aswell as negatives, if there are some.

I'm hoping for mature people in online play. People that help with riots and taking on the police. and not people thhat ruin it by kiling human players on purpose just for a quick laugh. I read a lot about that in the multiplayer section. So i'm hoping with pc gamers there will be a higher maturity level. TEAMWORK!!!!!

GTA IV is that good that it don't need to be moded.Maybe Trainers!But not cars,weapons etc...

My expectations are very high. The one thing that I am really hoping for is dedicated servers more than anything.

And modding will be great. I hope there will be a mod to change the sounds of the guns because they sound kinda crappy in GTA IV.

Looking at SAMP (Multiplayer for san andreas) there are alot of unmature people playing on the PC. There could be something im not calculating, but from what i can conclude now, GTA Multiplayer will have allways some unmature people who find it funny to destroy others fun.

I am for dedicated servers aswell. I hope it will be possible to have private servers wich are not bound to Windows Live Games. But that probably requires some people to mod/code it, and maybe even break some copyrights

I know that my system can run it, i just hope that i can set the graphics nice and still run it.

something i will play in days weeks months to come, like SA i still reinstall it on my pc after months of not being on there or just play modded versions just different modes of playing whether from missons to modding to just cruizing to multiplayer or , killing cops and peds please dont ruin it rock* just make it better

As from what i know, you can do alot of achievements in GTA 4 after the story, wich is kinda like all the small achievements in GTA SA (taxi driving etc). Also in GTA 4 you can sometimes choose to kill someone or let him live wich causes different ends of the story. This might let you wanna play the SP one more time.

However, a fact is, that i still play GTA SA today (unmodded, except samp/mta) and its still fun to just get a hunter, turn on vigilante missions and go on a hunt. Or simply finding places to jump, making movies, playing online with friends... doing races, DM, roleplay.

I expect those things to be possible in GTA 4 PC aswell. Im not sure tho if the multiplayer will be that "open" at the beginning. I think it needs to be modded before you can create custom scripted servers.

On the other hand, i know alot of people who do not play GTA SA at all anymore, and who think it became boring after they played through it once.

There are ppl who play those games ages, and some who get bored of them quick, so dont fight each other, guys.

To be honest, I've never bothered to finish a game 100% ever, so that doesn't matter to me. I hopped in a cab and did some missions when it was suitable for me.

What I'm saying is that SA had planes, IV does not. SA had parachutes, IV does not. SA had tons of unrealistic sh*t, IV does not. SA had a vast - to me, useless - countryside, IV does not.

I'm not an SA fanboy in any way, in fact, VC is my favorite. SA just happens to be the one I've played the most due to SA:MP.

@GTA_XP: A fanboy isn't always a PC/console fanboy. (I hate that f*cking word). There's Mac/PC fanboys, there's iPod/Zune fanboys and so on. What I meant to say was that your unconditional magnificent love for GTA is clouding your mind. The same thing happened to me before the console release. Then I saw some gameplay videos and though "Hell, this isn't THAT good", and then after the console release, when player reviews came out, and many of them being negative, I thought "Wow, those guys at R* Marketing did one hell of a job".

I'm gonna quit bitching until this game's been released since people seem to be unwilling to listen. I'll get on the bandwagon. GTA IV RULEZSSSSS!

Don't say I didn't warn you, though. I'm sure I'll enjoy the game for a month, which is normal for me. I play a game for a month, put it away and then play it again a year later. But for you that expect this to be the Jesus of games, you'll be shocked.

Aside for better graphics I expect support for wheel and pedals (manual shift)

I think with Xbox360 controller would let you drive realistic.

Especially the manual, slower gas and slow driving.

i think rockstar was too focused on the AI and those things. they are nice but gameplay and fun is the most important. but gta 4 was the first gta made to have todays amazing graphics. still gta 4 doesnt dissapoint and maybe the next gta rockstar will add in the fun and freedom from sa plus the AI.
