Lars46
What has happened to 50-cent half dollar pieces? I suppose the collectors are hoarding all the silver ones before 1971, but what has happened to the cheap imitations? Nobody talks about this. Another cover up conspiracy? There are billions of these coins supposedly in circulation, but where are they? Even banks don't seem to have them, I had to go to several banks before I found one that had a few rolls. (Yeah, I spend them, it is interesting that when I spend these halves, some cashier's actually sort through them and want to keep the 1976 coins, as if they are rare.) beavis
I'm sure they're just more rare to find. Sucks to see one of our greatest presidents on one of the more harder to find coins. I'm sure any "big" banks in cities carry them. These coins are huge though!
Orange.
I have a 50 cent coin in my lock box. The two dollar bill is probably extinct by now, I wish I could get my hands on one of them.

Hayden
I've got some pretty nice USA gold coins, a 2 dollar from the 1800s and a 1 dollar from the early 1900s. I have the Australian uncirculated set from my year of birth too.

I don't have any trouble getting $2 bills. I got $260 in $2 bills three weeks ago from two banks. I spend them everywhere!

Iminicus
Just go into any bank and ask for $2 bills or .50 pieces. My dad had heaps of them when we lived in California. Like at one time he had $100 in .50 pieces.

Like at one time he had $100 in .50 pieces. That's like over 9,000 .50 pieces!!! Anywho, yeah, as has been said, you can get .50 pieces and $2 bills from pretty much any bank. Just ask. @Hayden: That doesn't really look like a whale sucking a penis to me. Granted I've never seen this activity IRL. $$$ MAKE MONEY WITH NEOBUX $$H

Picolini
I get $2 bills from time to time, their not extinct. Just had a $10 bill from 1950, that was probably a lot more rare than a $2 bill. My dad's got a couple $2 bills and some rare coins. Never found the fascination with collecting money. I like to spend it. 50 cent coins are as useless as the dollar coin in the US. People just don't take to them.
Creed Bratton
You guys ever noticed little easter eggs in the bills? It's not an easter egg. It's micro print. They put stuff like that on money so it's harder to make fake cash. I hear dollars are full of those.
beavis
Yeah I know. They got all kinds of sh*t like holograms and digital signatures on the new bills. That little owl seemed more of an easter egg than a security procedure, but at the time, it was pretty impressive to print something that small. @ Hayden - you need one wild imagination to see that bill and think of dick and whales. Vanzant
I get $2 bills from time to time, their not extinct. They are THEE best bills to tuck on a strippers pantyline, they think it's a 20 spot and they get all excited. As far as 50 cent coins, too f*cking big even for a roll up punch. A half dollar is double the size of a quarter, so two quarters vs. a half dollar should have the same volume. I guess a half dollar has more surface area though, but f*ck it, I like them! Digital Murders
Wow...do you people have an income? I get two dollar bills all the time, not too mention an influx of half dollars, coin dollars and boat loads of sacagawea. Funny this topic is here because I just got rid of two .50 pieces I had in my wallet.
