Orange.
I find it annoying when someone makes a topic about something that isn't topic worthy. Some people are not good with geography, it happens.

Mark
Lol, you're being a bit ironic there don't ya think? You forgot, Northern Ireland is also in the United Kingdom. I know that but generally Northern Irish people like to think of themselves as Irish and wan't nothing to do with Britain. Tell a loyalist that. They'll probably break off your arm. Technically if you are British, you are from the UK, surrounding islands (Isle of Man, Channel islands etc) or a British overseas territory (such as the Falklands). If you are in Great Britain, that exclusively applies to the ISLAND of Great Britain, thus you are referring to England, Scotland and Wales. NI only comes into play if you say you are from the United Kingdom. Same applies for the Channel Islands etc. Therefore if you are from Great Britain, you cannot be from Northern Ireland as you are then from the Island of Ireland as opposed to the Island of Great Britain. You are still part of the United Kingdom however. Thus, depending on the terminology used, NI could be completely excluded.

Flesh-n-Bone
I always refer to the United Kingdom as simply England. That's because I'm actually referring to England when talking about it.

Darren.
Oy Vey, no Scottish people have posted here yet? Anyway, I do get offended by people calling me English because I'm from Great Britain. Our accents are TOTALLY different. The last few people that called me English on holiday, I poured my drink over them and told them to call me Scottish. Sorry, that's just what I follow
Lethal Nizzle
On a few occasions, I have been addressed as "English" by Americans on Xbox Live. I correct them, and they sometimes say "is that in England?" It's almost like they deliberately say it.

Foolish_Pigeon
Yeah. It kinda annoys me. Although I will make a sharp correction if anything is said. I won't let any comments slide. I wanted Scotland to be independant. The SNP had a good campaign going, but a shame that none of the newsapapers supported them. Too many people believe everything they read in the papers. Haha, it's not made up. It translates to: The land of my fathers, the land of my choice,The land in which poets and minstrels rejoice The land whose stern warriors were true to the core While bleeding for freedom of yore (Chorus) Wales! Wales! fav'rite land of Wales! While sea her wall, may naught befall To mar the old language of Wales. Old mountainous Cambria, the Eden of bards, Each hill and each valley, excite my regards; To the ears of her patriots how charming still seems The music that flows in her streams My country tho' crushed by a hostile array, The language of Cambria lives out to this day; The muse has eluded the traitors; foul knives, The harp of my country survives
