mkey82
I just wanted to say that internet is becoming more and more Nationalistic. As an example, if you come from Croatia and go to Steam and check out the games available you won't see games which are available (for an example) in UK. This is easy to prove if you use a proxy. Also, a lot of download services will not accept your business if you come from Croatia. A lot of online shops do the same. OK, maybe they just don't deal with some part of the world and that could be the end of it, but such places will do business with (as an example) Slovenia but not Croatia (two adjacent countries). This is what I was talking about. GFL is probably doing the same, they deem Croatia not to be a safe (or something) country and they like to decide that based on your IP address. I just wanted to check with you fellas if you know anything..... also a little offtopic but isn't it ridiculous how for example everywhere around the world iPhone 3G is 200$ but over here its like 500$ or more.... also in US PC games cost 49.99$ while over here its like 62$
Powerpuff
Same problem here, I'm from Estonia and i tried to create myself GFWL account and Estonia is not listed there.. so will see what will happen with that. PS: At least Steam allows me to be from Estonia.
Matija442IsBack
I just went to their site and tried to register....THEY DONT HAVE ANY BALKAN COUNTRY!!!!! mkey82
"This country is not yet supported by GFWL" sticker so i think they would have time to add us. It has nothing to do with "time". They just DON'T want to do it. also in US PC games cost 49.99$ while over here its like 62$ This is actually a good price, have you seen what console titles go for ? This is actually some plan of theirs to fight piracy in Croatia. They just don't allow us buy but we can download freely from various warez sites. A very effective anti-piracy method indeed. Because if they sell the game to me then I will obviously spread it around all over Croatia as I'm one big fat pirate. Arrrr !!!!! Powerpuff, do you see GTA titles on Steam? mkey82
Powerpuff, do you see GTA titles on Steam? I see all GTA titles (SA, VC, 3, also GTA Collection) etc, also new COD appeared today. Obviously Estonia is not sh*tlisted like Croatia I mean, there is a lot of piracy going on here, but they should enable alternatives not turn down people when they want to spend their money. If I wanted to pirate it, I know where to look for and they will greet me with a war "welcome" instead of a "f*ck of!". On various sites they actually tell you to go away while I'm sitting right here, with my debit card waiting to give them my money. I don't get it, what sort of business refuses paying customers? heh i just don't get it....why??? ughh....i wouldnt be concerned if only GTA IV didnt use GFWL.....f*ck In due time there is probably going to be some form of MTA for GTA IV. There are a lot of countries who are denied access to precious MS services. Edited November 13, 2008 by mkey82

Fidro
Why is so important to select Croatia? It says: Select your Country/Region, so select United Kingdom as your region, not country...
