GtaMaster1993 Posted November 12, 2008 Share Posted November 12, 2008 okay in 3 weeks my gta iv has broken. i have had my xbox for a while now and it is scratching my games to shreds. it isnt me because i always put them back in their case, i never just throw them on the floor. i treat my games perfect and the 360 just f*cks them, im probably gonna get an elite for christmas, the only working game i have now is oblivion, saints row two did the same. damnit what is wrong! Get on the phone to M$ and tell them the problem, they'll either ask you to send it off for repair or send you a replacement if it's that f*cked. THE PS3 WOULD BE CHEAPER YOU sh*t-FOR-BRAINS! and i know what the problem is as my nephew has the same thing. there-s something out of place/stuck inside your cd-drive. go to a shop, get them to take it apart and find out what's wrong. the drive only costs around £15, so you won't have a problem. but seriously. get a ps3. or a WII. there's so many problems with the 360, i've lost count. rings of death, stupid CD drive, soft shell, no climate resistance, sh*tty customer service, want me to go on? if they'd have held up the release date until, say, the time of the wii's, they could have solved these problems. but they hastily released it and they're making a fortune out of charging customers near enough to £100 to fix something that costs £30. they're making a fortune out of pissed off customers, while sony and nintendo are having happy customers. in my opinion, microsoft are ripping off their customers so that they can get their christmas bonuses. and i would like to see anyone give hard evidence (not just calling me every name in the book and telling me i'm wrong without providing something logical.) to contradict what i just said. you can't insult me, my heart is probably in your freezer it's that cold. go on, just try. even if you don't mean it, just try to insult me. there is nothing that could possibly hurt my feelings. How is it that Japan can make a good reliable console (PS3) but the Americans can't even make a console that lasts longer than 2 years (360) ? Infinite Monkey Posted November 12, 2008 Share Posted November 12, 2008 You could try getting the surface of your disc re-polished; if the disc has only got some little surface scratches, it might be repareable. If you've got a half decent game store near you, they should be able to get it done, or at least point you in the right direction. You could also try running a lens cleaner through the 360. Download the leaked version of the NXE update, install your games to your hard drive, and now you can play games with out your 360 scratching your games.
