namechangedbyacs1
Here is text from song I WALK ALONE: I'll walk alone because, to tell you the truth, I'll be lonely I don't mind being lonely When my heart tells me you are lonely, too I'll walk alone, they'll ask me why and I'll tell them I'd rather There are dreams I must gather Dreams we fashioned the night you held me tight I'll always be near you wherever you are each night In every prayer If you call I'll hear you, no matter how far Just close your eyes and I'll be there Please walk alone and send your love and your kisses to guide me Till you're walking beside me, I'll walk alone I'll always be near you wherever you are each night In every prayer If you call I'll hear you, no matter how far Just close your eyes and I'll be there Please walk alone and send your love and your kisses to guide me Till you're walking beside me, I'll walk alone I'll walk alone
Rhoda
There's nothing good about that song or those lyrics, bring on old, normal Green Day. EDIT: As contradictory as this is going to sound coming from me (new Green Day is abysmal) the song's actually called "Boulevard Of Broken Dreams". Jay
You'd be better set just to say "Discuss" instead of using code tags to post their later lyrics. I was watching their clips from Woodstock 99 on my iPod the other night. They were hot piss then and earlier, for sure. Saw them live in 2005, right after American Idiot was released. I was surprised I got tickets for that actually. I was also pissed off that The Prodigy were playing the same night and I missed them.

makeshyft
Green Day rocked up until around the time I graduated high school. 1998.
Vanilla Shake
They're my favorite band, but I have to say that American Idiot is their worst album. Their earlier stuff still rocks though. They're the only pop-punk band I can listen to. But their side-project (The Foxboro Hot Tubs) makes up for American Idiot, and I'm actually looking forward to see what they can come up with next year for their new album. Juice By Kayla Marie
I cannot stand green day and I think they're pretty terrible. there are a FEW songs from the 90's that I can tolerate and usually get stuck in my head though.
Mike Tequeli
I never really liked them, even their 'good' old material. They always seemed like a sh*tty pop-punk band to me, which just seems shallow compared to pretty much anything else. Plus the instrumentation is really really boring. Slamman
I think it's awesome they played Woodstock '94 because that gave the festival a good balance of new and old artists, almost seeming ahead of their time. I like the video for Walking Contradiction, especially!

No,just no....this is not Boulevard of Broken Dreams. GD have many songs that have the lyrics: "walking alone" or "I walk alone"
