Illousion
I need an answer to this. When the cold air from greenland and the hot tropical air from further south collide, is a hurricane "made" or is it a typhoone? Dreaming of California, where the sun never sets. Girish
I think it's a hurricane. I may be wrong though. From all I know, hurricane is nothing but a severe cyclone with heavy rains and strong winds. A typhoon, on the other hand, is an Asian name for tropical cyclone. It's a low pressure storm generating from the equator and traveling westward. Something tells me my geographical knowledge is pretty poor.

Mike Tequeli
It'd be a hurricane, not a typhoon, we don't have typhoons.
