During mission, all gang members I kill don't add anything to my "Gang members killed" count, although they count during freeroam or gang wars. I can't see any difference between the Ballas around the streets and, for example, the Ballas who appeat at the Crack Fortress during the final mission. The game doesn't display pedtypes numbers near peds I guess you're not a modder If you were, you would decompile main.scm and see the differences. Non-gang pedtypes are used to avoid unwanted behavior, i guess. For example, there are ballas, vagos and rifas. And they don't attack each other. But they do attack each other in the streets. Gang members in missions aren't really working in the same way as gang members in the streets, but have the same model.
