Slamman
You have to agree, retro rock REALLY came into it's own with the Black Crowes, bursting on the scene in the late 1980s. They got their big break opening on Now and Zen tour with Robert Plant. They were almost saddled with the Stones baggage, although The Stones and The Faces were certainly influencing them, adding a old fogey keyboardist to the lineup and a few excellent guitar players cycling the roster, they continue to plow through the modern music scene with a kind throw back to yesteryear Rock's heyday. They recently played here at our State fair and are coming again to do their own show with top billing. I've seen them, and taped them, a few times, including the HORDE tour as well as free show they played in town. Always will respect 'em. Feel free to share your experience with the Crowes music here....

Slamman
Like the Grateful Dead before them, they've allowed tapers to gladly bootleg them in audio format, but I ran into resistance with regard to video recording, however, there are some videos that are highly recommended. [like the Ronnie Scott's jazz club acoustic set, released in audio and video versions, was used on MTV I think, as well] A collection of soundboard stereo recordings is out on CD as well, it's faded in and out between cuts and splits up a two track medley of sorts, with Jealous Guy, the John Lennon cover they totally rip in to! I love it. Best cover out there. Their live shows are very enjoyable and the bootlegs are testament. Edited November 13, 2008 by Slamman
