They're probably making us wait for some boring crap that wasn't worth waiting for. I think it's good they haven't said anything, since i'm pretty sure the Various delays and whatnot have affected what will be in the DLC. At least this way people can't come back later and complain about what was taken out of the DLC, because R* announced the contents prematurely. i'd rather they delay the announcement, and then actually deliver on everything they announce. April is getting closer and closer... I've been so busy with Gears of War 2 I forgot about GTA IV already. Now Call of Duty : World At War came out today Nov. 11...... and I haven't even finished Gears 2 yet. Way too many new games coming out to wait for some stupid random missions and encounters that will bring more of the same. I won't be able to use silenced guns in these new missions, so what is new? Ph3L1z14n0 Posted November 12, 2008 Share Posted November 12, 2008 Some people believe that delay is good, i don't, it only means that whatever the hell they were doing is not finished, which makes me think that they are either lazy, unprofessional, or just full of themselves believing that we can wait forever for something we shouldn't be paying for, yes, i despise the idea of the DLC. And besides, this is having the same pattern as IV, while i do believe that IV is an amazing game, i think the hype was too much, and that IV somehow wasn't what i expected, so if anything, DLC will do nothing out of the ordinary. PC version has virtually nothing to do with Rockstar North which has been developing DLC for Xbox 360 since june already. Decision to let Rockstar Toronto develop the port was taken in order to not affect development of the DLC by Rockstar North. Aye! Too many good games this year have been spoiled because they’ve been rushed to release. Too much of the ‘We’ll just patch it up later’ attitude. Not mentioning any names, like Fallout 3, dunno if I’ve mentioned.. It crashed on me. It’s refreshing to see someone mulling over it and taking the time they need to get the job done, albeit only DLC. Fallout 3 crashed on me by the way. I agree with you all I'm sayin is they gotta cut this sh*t out because it's not good for business and it's annoying well i myself was saying this after they delayed GTA4 for 6 months , but it still turned out to be one of the biggest selling games in history. so that doesnt affect them that much. BIG BUT We did have at least some screenshots and trailers for the game allready but with the DLC we still havent even had 1 screenshot or anything solid of what its going to be like yet, apart from the it will add 15hours of gameplay. I've been absent this forum for probably at least a month or two - and when I return, nothing has changed regarding DLC. Either the DLC will be: 1. amazing (and huge - a la Shivering Isles); or 2. less than amazing (in which case it will be a massive failure, since they've dicked everyone around for so long.) They don't even make betas for gamers to test and give them feedback on. It's even rare for game reviewers and previewers to get a glimpse of any R* game until about 1 or 2 months before release.,for instance GTA : CTW, we haven't heard anything about this game since it's announcement in August during the Nintendo Press conference at E3 08', it's been 4 months and all we have is crappy LEAKED screenshots, no story info NO NOTHING and the game is coming out in 2 months R* likes to take the term SHOCK VALUE to the extreme. Dont get me wrong the way R* markets is ingenious but the way they have it optimized to be even better. Just look at Bungie they release a lot of info for HALO and the product wasn't bad , people still got what they wanted and they gross just about the same amount of money that Rockstar Games does. This is all because they didnt wait in the first place to add the good sh*t into the game. Im sorry, but the story isnt all that great. The "Niko Bellic" story has been done before, and this wasnt even a good cover of it. Quit trying to be one step ahead when you are really 6 steps behind. R* continues to amaze me by its lack of intelligence. They want to make a "realistic" game that is boring as f*ck, then wait to release fun stuff in the DLC. However they cant even figure out how to release that on time!!!!!! This is ultimatley why they lose my vote for GTAIV vs SR2.
