LC 44
I was thinking this morning of the possiblility of san Andreas Stories (GTA on psp seems vacant without it) and I was going through possiblites in my head of how this could be possible. Since San andreas was like 4 GB game or something like that. Then I was wondering if it was possible to have a dual layered UMD, if they arnt already? secondly maybe the game could have 2-3 GB install on to the memory card. I mean we have 16 GB pro duos now
Smiley001
From what I've heard, the 1.8 GB UMD's are the dual layered ones... The single layered were about 900Mb
lpgunit
I've seen ripped versions of San Andreas, that were so made that it only took up 600~700MB on a CD (note that I do NOT condone piracy here). However, it won't be feasible on a PSP, since you have to decompress it (which takes a very long time), and the fact that ripped versions don't have audio just really sucks. It is possible, although Sony would still need to develop a better UMD format. And with that, a new PSP model will be needed.
WingedWarrior
Currently, some record companies are going to replace CD's with just putting their music on memory sticks, which provide more space, more mobility and more versatility. I'm sure PSP game makers can do the same in this case. I think it would be a step in the right direction, though it's easier to rip and piracy rates would skyrocket. Would be possible but way less fun. maybe they could include a pro duo stick with the radio stations and a disk witht the game on it !
MurderAfterDark
It would be great if it was installed on a memory stick, just like the PSone games you get on the Playstation Store, Or maybe it could be like the old final fantasy games on PSone, where the game is on 2 or 3 discs, As long as the map and vehicles fit on one UMD, this would work as they could add these to all the UMDs Maybe like this: UMD One - Game Map, Vehicles and Los Santos missons UMD Two - Game Map, Vehicles and San Fierro missons UMD Three - Game Map, Vehicles and Las Venturas missons Maybe in the future Sony will make a PSP that uses Blu-Ray UMD, yeah the memory won't be like the larger discs of 25GB/50GB, but I think they will get about maybe 5GB/10GB on the UMD
Garfield 2
Sorry to say this but Media type Optical disc Capacity 900 MB (single layer), 1.8 GB (dual layer) //edit: But what about if they did this? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blu-Ray#Mini_Blu-ray_Disc Edited November 25, 2008 by Garfield

( and the missions are just a few mbs in total (its just script)). The radio is the real problem.
