YOYOYO Man! Everything is good except the processor. You could play it on highest setting on a quad core processor, but with that kind of processor, you can only go between low and medium. I don't recomend you this one! Get something with a quad core. Is that a laptop your ACER? colgate.gif

Id hardly call it an office card. Sure, its pretty crap. Intel onboard is an "office card". Id much prefer the nvidia.

Low - medium cool.gif. You only asked if it will work. I said yes. But if you want to know on what settings you can run it, you've gotta put the question man! I cannot guess what answer you want. YOU WILL GETT ONLY ANSWERS about YOUR QUESTION!

1. IT WON'T WORK ON THAT CARD. OK. If you don't believe us, buy it and then don't come to us crying that it doesn't work.

2. Don't buy laptops for gaming! You can't even put a cooler if it overheats. With the budget you have, you can get yourself a nice and descent desktop which can run gta IV on high settings. So, what's the point of taking a laptop cool.gif

Actually, the 240M will be able to run the game on low settings but the fps cannot be guaranteed. It could be playable or it would not be. If he has to buy a laptop, then he'll have to take a chance with it. Otherwise, get a desktop.

If a laptop is overheating its either:

1) Faulty

2) Take it off the bed, retard

Sorry dude, but your PC fails the minimum requirement. You won't be able to play the game on that PC. You might be able to run it but you'll face issues like disappearing graphics and terrible lag. It won't be playable at all. You'll have to upgrade your PC.

@rocstar96: You'll be able to run the game on low settings but you'll need Windows XP SP3.

Why is it a big deal for you to upgrade to SP3?

well because i always fail to install sp3 it always say internal error occurred. plus i passed the OS system on "can you run it™" i have Microsoft Windows XP Professional (Build Service Pack 22600) which is i passed..

Is gta 4 supposed to work on an Nvidia Geforce 6150SE. I played it on that card and it had about 450 vram in the settings menu. But when I played it everything was transparent and I got some missing textures. Is the problem the driver? or should I update to the latest driver of the card?

EDIT: Which one gives better and most realistic graphic in GTA IV, the PS3, the Xbox 360 or the PC. I just want to know which one of them has the most realistic graphics in the world!

Hello to all!

My brother and I have GTAIV running fine on quad-cores and 1gb radeons, but our younger brother would like to get it going on his system, which is less able to handle it:

2.80Ghz Pentium 4 with 2.5gb of PC3200 ram and a Geforce 7600 GS (256mb)

It's important to know that he just wants to get in the door (all settings on nil) and just wants to edit gameplay footage, bringing the P4 over to our place to copy and output on our machines.

I know there is a way to play it on any windows with the "AllWindowsRunFix," but is it possible to install it in the first place?

Thanks!

The 'can you run it?' website is not reliable. Both your processor and graphics card are on the weaker side. You're RAM is also just ok. You might feel that your system is good, but trust me, for GTA IV, it is not. Hence, I suggested low settings. Even with that, I cannot guarantee that the game will run butter smooth.

Also, XP SP3 is the minimum requirement for the game so you'll have to find ways to install the service pack or else you might not be able to install the game. Of course, there are other ways to install the game on SP2, but I recommend upgrading to SP3.

@Tim Riches: You'll be able to install the game but it won't be playable at all.

I used to have WinXP SP2. I was able to install GTA IV but i couldn't play it. You MUST have Service Pack 3 installed in order for GTA IV to run. There are certain windows libraries which GTA IV needs from SP3 for it to execute. And don't try just copying the libraries from SP3 into your \Windows directory. It doesn't work that way, believe me I already tried. Just instlal SP3 and get over it and yourself.
