I really just think the minimum requirements on GTA IV aren't what you need to play the game, but that's what you need to get similar graphics to console's(High settings, maybe some medium) so that means that people with slower hardware such as myself should be able to play it just with lower graphics settings. So there is really no point in upgrading unless if you want to surpass what the console's look like.

The min/max markers are bugged I guess, but that is where my PC ranked.. The max bar is supposed to be around 9,000 so I pas smax with that test.

This one is going strictly by the requirements. My CPU (64 x2 6000)is the only thing that lags.

The one thing that really bugs me is how come a Q6600 is (allegedly) better then a E8400 which is known to be much better for gaming, i think R* is just labeling a technology so they won't have to deal with both Intel and AMD on different terms of performance. time will tell but it should be easy to tell that as long as the game uses DX9 things will not change much for the quad core CPUs.

just my opinion.

picture if these two purchases came at the same time.

Ok let's say you have a dual core 3 gig budget processor and an nvidia/kaser 8800 512mb budget video card you bought $50 brand new and lets say pc 4200 ddr 4 gigs. and use vista ultimate premium

by all readings that these two "tests" do, you make the requirements.

someone else on the other hand bought nvidia bfg 8500 gt 512 mem for $500 , dual quad 1.8 cpu 2 gigs ocz pc6400 ddr2

on vista home with all resource hogging items stripped out. no themes. nothing useless to a gamer.

by these specs this computer does not make the standards.

we all know the lower own would pwn the dog drippings out of the top one.

If you people just relax

and do your benching of your parts in game.

you will see that you will be fine.

this might actually make a real life pc gamer out of you.

Game-o-Meter Result:

Either your hardware is too new, too old or too rare - we don't know enough of it to give an accurate estimation. Sorry.

heh heh...well I can run SA with hi-poly mods, so I'll hope for the best.

It's an radeon X1650 Pro 512 MB GDDR3

I will overclock it ;D

Remember overlclocking isn't always such a great Idea since it generates more heat to the card and you will still probably only get a 2-4fps difference in the end. Also by the time that card starts to heat up the less FPS you will get because the card has to work harder to keep it self cool

the card has to work harder to keep it self cool

I do hope you're trolling. otherwise, GTFO.

??? I just stated a fact

But a higher average FPS is also the result = WIN.

As long as you have decent ventilation you should have no problems as long as you set your GFX fan to max while OCing it and keep an eye on those temps.

If you are watercooled like meh you can torture those GFX cards to the max and get over 15 to 20 extra average FPS on most aps. devil.gif

thats crazy

edit: But i read that you can set the settings so much down that it looks like San Andreas on High(for people with pentium 4 processors)

Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E4300 /

AMD Athlon64 X2 4600+

Comparing your CPU Intel® Celeron® D CPU 3.33GHz (running @3332MHz) with the requirement Intel Core 2 Duo (running @1800MHz)

•  Your processor is significantly less powerful in raw performance

I already knew that, stop telling me -___-
